Life is often a mixed bag ... this article has me puzzled.  What are the plans in place ... and who really gets to make decisions...

I am voting for the protesting seniors ... course they do not want to be evicted .... how can that even be a thing??

Crazy stuff in that article. I don't know anything more about the situation than a quick read through that...but one take away was, well, if they have a licence til May next year why not take advantage of that and at least give people more time to make other arrangements (that is if the closure proceeds at all)??

Yes: it doesn't sound fair or considerate.

What’s happening to seniors today is due only to a lack of respect for elders, by western societies. In our commercially orientated world, they have no value because they do not directly contribute via the workforce. I wish life was so simple. These elders repositories of vast amounts of experience and the kind of wisdom. Those who fail to learn, the lessons of history, are condemned to relieve them. That’s what happens when you undervalue seniors.

Commercial Developers should not intervene in the first place. We need to be aware of whether this is an issue under the jurisdiction of the state government or (/&) local council(s). It wouldn’t hurt either, to have a solicitor / other housing advocate advising these seniors.

Mercury is about to go direct and pluto is retrograde as of last week @Kyle1. I don't have the dates but noticed people in the psychiatric community getting triggered over pluto stationing retrograde. When a planet stations you feel the essence of the planet more acutely.  Plus we had a full moon lunar eclipse last week. The Schummans resonance has also been going through the roof!
