Good evening @Oaktree and all other forumites here. I hope your day has gone well for you. I’m just chilling right now and doing some knitting of a blanket after spending some time watching Tv - Highway Patrol- and listening to some music on my iPhone.
@Oaktree Well done on your knitting of the squares for the donation blanket! I’ve found that the best way to get the 20cm square size is to use 4mm knitting needles and cast on 40 stitches and then do 68-70 rows garter stitch (plain knit stitch) to get the correct measurements. I’ll tag you in the Knitting discussion area in the next few days so I can show you a square I’ve done.
Enjoy the rest of your night!

Hi @Judi9877
I used 4mm needles and cast on 41 stitches and completed 84 rows of garter stitch. Unfortunately the square ended up not quite wide enough at 19cms and a touch too long. I will try casting on 44 stitches and doing 83 rows. Yes I knit quite tightly.

Hello @Former-Member you've been a bit quiet on here. I hope you are finding things to do and being able to look for work. Are you still at the op-shop? I have to get in the vegie patch and do some weeding. I have been low on energy today after being to overactive this week. My diabetes educator should call soon, got my fasting blood glucose down to a 5.8 most days this week.
Can't think of much to say. I did buy a book which I regretted purchasing, it was a book on spiritual hygiene but at the end of the first chapter it takes you through to a link which walks you through to a site where theres a long spiel about going ahead to do their course for $100 a month.
I did do a short shamanic course a month or so ago allready which is enough as part of a 22 day challenge to decalcify my pineal and open my third eye using Mayan Techniques that were said to be better than taking cacao or any other way of opening the third eye. But then again hidden add-ons and deceptive sales. The content of these sessions is very simple yet they jack up prices. I'm seeing deception everywhere. Neptune is transiting my 10th house - go figure!
I'm finding it hard to get things to do. Journalism offers me a lot of stimulation. I learned how to use forest peat from the Amazon to build gardens and fertilise plants the other day. My soil needs building up and I'm wondering if there is anything similar here in Australia with forest peat. I think I will investigate. I may go and check in with another independent news site and see what they have to say lately.
Take care Maggie, talk later! 🙂

Hi @Former-Member so lovely to get your message. Sounds like you have been busy filling in your time.
I'm still working in the Op shop in fact it's my day tommorow.
I'm looking forward to it.
There was no op-shop last week due to it being good Friday.
My computer and meditation ( yoga Nidra ) courses are on hold ATM due to school holidays.
I have been spending a lot of my time walking and reading.
No luck with the job hunting. But still applying 🤞🤞🤞.
I really hope to get something soon to minimise isolation as I like to be social.
Easter was quite and hard for me. I missed my sister and daughter as I do at all celebratory times. They are both ok, but we just have limited contact. 🙏🙏🙏 That's something that will change in the future. I do get occasional txt messages though. Which always make my day.
Must start working on 3rd eye again myself.
Look forward to speaking again soon. You take care my friend 😊.

Hey @Oaktree did you hear from your friend of the forums? You were really upset over it this week. I know I would be if it was someone I had a good rapport with. Conflicts can usually be resolved. I hope the situation shifts for you soon. What are you doing today?

Hi @Former-Member
yes I think it’s going to be ok.
I am going to canasta club at my local library this morning and going for coffee with someone from my new social group this afternoon. Should be an ok day.
What have you got on?
