Hi @Former-Member,
Thanks for the tag š - curry sounds nice, you've inspired me to make one for dinner next week. Hope all goes well with your blood test and you can rule out diabetes. Sounds like the meds you're on have been working well for you which is really good.
Hope you you are well and the week ahead is kind to you.
Warm wishes,
FloatingFeather

Hello @Former-Member yes its a bit of a concern. Last time was able to bring blood sugar down but was still kind of "in the range". I get my results back hopefully by Saturday. Will ring GP reception to see if my results are back then. Have not seen my shrink since May. Finding it hard to get in touch with her. Have left voice messages as well as an e-mail but no response as yet.

Thanks @FloatingFeather yes I've been coasting along well for a while. I don't know if you have dietary requirements but would recommend Ayams Curry paste. Its gluten free and delicious. I just use a tablespoon, add coconut cream to browned meat and vegies with water - its a simple meal to make. I prefer it to the curry spice powder. Its got a full bodied taste compared to curry powder

That is a long time @Former-Member, is there someone else you might be able to contact regarding psychologist appointment? Maybe your GP can reach out to them?
I hope your results come in quickly, sometimes waiting in the unknown abyss can be very stressful š°

@Former-Member I'm ok. I'll be allright ā¤ļø I hope the diabetes test comes back negative. I don't really need to speak to anyone right now. I have not had a psychologist in many years as I am able to manage but like you said the wait and not knowing. I've booked an appointment with my GP clinic on Saturday but will ring reception first to see if the results are in. Have you got any plans for the weekend? Tomorrow I will get into the garden. Got to pull more weeds. Melbourne has been inundated with rain again. Thank goodness I've had the gutters cleaned.

Yes, the rain has been insane!! We have been getting it mostly at night and sun during the day, but still everything is wet. Do you spend much time in the garden??

I don't spend enough time in the garden @Former-Member mainly due to my chronic fatigue syndrome

@TAB Thinking of you and sending you positive vibes for your operation today. Get well soon forumite friend!
@Emelia8 i hope your operation goes well for you and that you recover soon!
@Former-Member I hope you get some good news regarding your diabetes result with the GP. I had a diagnosis of type 2 diabetes for several years which was partly brought on by a psych medication but my sugars are now pre diabetic range and Iām no longer taking the diabetes med so I think itās being dealt with by diet which is good.
Today Iāve been trying to think positive thoughts and making myself smile when things have been causing me anxiety and stress and itās been working for a good deal of time. I have been convincing myself that there are things that I canāt control and thereās nothing I can do to control how people act and behave towards me. I can however control how I think, act and behave and making myself smile is one of those things as well as thinking positive. Itās only small but I have to at least try something and so far itās been working for the majority of time which is an achievement in itself. It helps that the weather here in Melbourne has been mostly sunny today which is great considering itās been rainy and cold for most of this week.
Take care and stay safe!
