It sounds like you are going through a lot at the moment @MDT - I really feel for you.
Firstly I don't believe for a minute that people think you're an idiot - going off your posts on the forums I think you are a really insightful, inspiring and a likeable person :). I think you are being way too hard on yourself.
I don't know about you but I often find when it rains it pours. I often wonder why bad things seem to happen around the same time? Maybe because when we are feeling down/overwhelmed we don't have the usual resilience and strength we might typically have when we are feeling ok? Especially when you aren't sleeping well - I know for me how important sleep is around my mental health.
Keep posting and sharing as much as you need to. We are here for you just like you have been here for other members plenty of times.

Hey @MDT sorry to hear you are not doing well. If you are not sleeping its due to heat rising to the brain from overthinking and stress.
If I regulate my triple warmer with an easy to do practice that only takes a few minutes to do it allows the heat in the brain to subside and the rest of the body to relax for sleep. If you do wake up in the middle of the night you can do this practice in bed and you will sleep again

Sometimes if I am stressed out of my mind I will do this Qigong sequence first to drain all the toxic energy from my body so I go out of a Yang state into a Yin state so I can sleep.
These are things in my mental health first aid toolkit. It may not be for you but its certainly saved my sanity when I've needed sleep and can't switch off. I have to commit to doing it and am happy to say its got me through difficult times

Fingers and toes crossed that tomorrow is a brighter day for you @MDT.
Sometimes a good rest and sleep can help things seem a little less full on.
Be kind to yourself and reach out whenever you need to chat 🙂

@MDT sending positive thoughts and vibes your way!
I’ve just done some food shopping with my housemate and now I’m relaxing at home and plan on working on a knitted blanket for her birthday which she’s looking forward to. I’m also working on a scarf for her that I started whilst in Echuca when I was away with wool she purchased at the Bendigo Woollen Mills so I’ve got plenty of things to do. I just hope I don’t get too bored!
Take care and stay safe!

HI @Judi9877,
Nice to read you sounding well. It also sounds like your trip to Echuca was very productive - I'm sure the wool from the Bendigo Woollen Mills is lovely!
A homemade knitted blanket is a lovely birthday gift - I'm sure she will love it 🙂
Hope the rest of you week is just as good!
Best wishes,
FloatingFeather
