you're totally fine @TAB! I thought as much, but you know us moderators ❤️ You've shown a lot of self-awareness and accountability!

Hello @Former-Member 💓 the concept of social capitalism how interesting.
Thanks for getting back, again always intrigued by anything you have to say.
Hope you are well and take care 🌞. Nice to have a sunny day here in Melbourne. Enjoy your weekend and I hope it brings many lovely things your way.

Hey @Former-Member
Yeah the weekend looks good, got plenty of things to do, getting into my garden and weeding apart from organising a plan for a chook house. I know all the kinds of chooks you can get. Fell in love with a black breed of chook with a lovely temperament that is highly recommended.
Hope that you have something planned. I'm just doing preparedness and some reading. I have a book that I need to finish.
Take care and enjoy a relaxing afternoon Maggie! 🌻

Thanks so much for this info @tyme , yes I feel like it could be a very good option for him & I also need some respite! (Alone at home) I'm trying to be encouraging without any pressure. I think it could be a confidence thing & also leaving the security of home that's a barrier, which I completely understand. It's completely up to him if he wants to try PARCs, I'm glad the option is there.
I recall reading that @Judi9877 wasn't impressed with her experience - I guess it can happen. I don't want to build it up too much incase he hates it! It would be so beneficial if he could have similar experience to you @tyme ! A different environment, maybe new perspective?!
@tyme @Judi9877 do they provide lots of structure, activities etc? Even if he refuses to participate in them - I think he would need the option of activity. I would hate to think of him sitting alone in a room all day. Thanks.

♥️💜 thankyou @Former-Member 💜♥️ sometimes I worry about 'putting myself out there ' Probably, for the exact reason you mentioned! Kindness is not usually rewarded. Very sad. I'm so happy to have an ally!!! Thankyou so much. 😊

Hey @TAB your messages made me think you had a funny day today... Sitting in the toilet....& Then seeing all the other workers you were deliberately trying to avoid! Yep, sounds about right! Haha... At least that stress, is mostly done for now?! Have good night.

I know the PARCs I attended has changed a lot @maddison , so I can only speak of my own experiences when I was there a number of years ago.
So we had a calendar of events. Each day had different events. e.g. each morning, we could start with a compulsory group meeting, then it could be a gardening group, craft group, walking group, coffee group, outing, meditation, education group (sleep hygiene, assertiveness, healthy eating etc).
Some days we'd have movie nights, games nights. All these are optional except being rostered to cook dinner once a week (with help) and the morning meetings.
Hope that helps.

Yes, this is great @tyme thankyou. I suspected they would have activities, I was concerned he wouldn't like it if not The things you mention sound ideal. Similar to the activities I try to promote here at home. I'm only one person tho & sometimes people need a team or supportive environment like this with professionals (also, I'm inconsistent! - Fair enough as I can get really overwhelmed) thankyou again.
