Good morning @TAB @StuF @Former-Member @Former-Member @MDT
I have been catching up on recent thread. Lots of relevant conversations happening. I have to agree, that many of the mental health problems we experience are largely attributed to lack (in all forms)rather than so called biology.
In my living situation, I am 'technically homeless', although I am afforded a roof over my head, a warm bed, things I am always grateful for.
Having spent much of time during my adult years amongst people living with experience of mental health conditions, one thing I have found true (& opposing to stereotypes) is that, a common trait amounts those struggling, is kindness. There seems to be an understanding of the hardships of life (something the elite clearly do not get) amongst this community.
I am currently sitting in mental health service waiting room. Each client that ways thru the door, says 'please, thankyou', as they talk to reception ladies.
I cannot imagine this polite, authentic behaviour in 'high flying corporate' settings!
Maybe, it's my silly mind, trying to make positives out of misery! Sometimes, I can't help but feel rich!! getting to see, the unseen & what they/we Really have to offer the world.
I don't know the answers to poverty & inequality. I don't have the power to change it. The only way thru, or the thing I can do in my insignificant place in the planet is focus on what is important to me. Promote & acknowledge kindness. Feel gratitude that my position allows expression of this cool human quality.
Peace ✌️
haha xx

@maddison thank-you for your thoughts on this topic. I believe there is a humaness about the mentally ill. In his works Wilhelm Reich a psychoanalysist said the mentally ill approximate more what are normal human characteristics compared to those with neurosis. He referred to the mentally ill as the "Peer Gynts" of the world - carefree, genuine and soulful ❤️

Ur welcome @Former-Member & thanks for enlightening me with thoughts from the history's masters! I had heard of Reich! I didn't recognise my knowledge of Peer Gynt without @TAB video. Thanks, I am slightly smarter today now.
Someone, smarter with better words has always said everything before! Funny how we experience life as though we are original... Actually, your references @Former-Member give me some comfort that my thinking is not too wildly obscure. Thanks♥️
