Morning @Former-Member you gotta do what you gotta do. I've seen employees at a St. Vincents op-shop spread rumors about a schizophenic who may have been a volunteer. Just keep your medical info to yourself and say as little as possible. I know its like carrying a huge secret but you have to in your own interests. When you get older you won't worry about withholding info, people have no right to know as they usually spread hateful gossip and incite vilification. So you are doing the right thing.

After living in denial I am now living Withworry @Former-Member, Saying that my family still cares for me and show me people can be kind… and as for work it’s an equal opportunity employer so they should be supportive… I’ve seen people with physical conditions treated averagely so maybe it might be fine… still trying to find an accommodating place

Thats good @Former-Member glad you have supportive family. Its very unusual in the psych community as I've come to know many families are abusive and don't take care of their adult children. Many of my friends had difficult relations with their families of origin and I was no different in terms of my situation. But yes I do understand you wanting acceptance an a safe place to land that is perfectly normal. Theres more and more mental illness in the community but schizophrenia is still severely stigmatised. Best keep your mouth shut to protect your own interests. I will stop typing for now as you have got work to do.
