Re: Good Morning!

Hey @StuF that sounds really tough, being sick is the pits but 6 weeks is a long time to be feeling it. I really hope the treatment works for you, but I'm sorry you had to miss out on your friend's birthday. Keep taking good care of yourself because you need to be in top shape for the next invite that comes your way!

Re: Good Morning!

The bugs are getting stronger @StuF which is concerning.  Sounds like your immune can't fight it off. I'm sorry you are in this situation and have had to put up with that.  I was wondering where you had been but got the reminder you still had that cold/flu/virus today.  I've put some health protocols in place this winter but barely leave the house unless its for necessary things so I understand how you must be feeling right now.  Apart from doctors advice is there anything else you know that can do to boost your immune in your own tried and true way? I have mine but can't expand on them here due to SANE policy guidelines.  I'm sorry you are in this situation and wish you a speedy recovery StuF

Re: Good Morning!

Sounds like you got stuff done too @TAB. I cleaned off my desk and organised some papers for tossing. I put out the kitchen tidy and recyclables for tomorrows garbage collection and did an audit of my fridge/freezer and chest freezer. I have a magnetic whiteboard on my fridge so I know whats in there.  I write on it with a non permanent marker so I know what goes in and what comes out.

Went through my weekly shopping list to see what I really needed vs duplicates. So thats sorted. Organised some lunch.

Went through my accounts and accidentally realised I was being sent a 3 month recurring subscription of essential oils. So thats been fixed. I keep them in my fridge they are possibly up for expiry next year so will have aromatherapy on in the house every day to use up the oils.  I love aromatherapy - a friend of mine years ago was an aromatherapist/masseuse and we used to have pampering days at her house with a bunch of other women by donation. It was nice. Miss those days.

Good morning and good afternoon @MDT @Former-Member @Former-Member @StuF @TAB @FloatingFeather @hanami @Former-Member @Former-Member @Paperdaisy @tyme @Shaz51 @Snowie @maddison @Clawde @Meowmy @Delicatessen @Dimity @RedHorse @outlander @Zoe7 @Historylover and all forumites joining here today. I hope things are going well for you and that you are safe and well. I hope you are staying warm if you are in the colder parts of Australia, such as Victoria.

As for me, I’m really struggling right now and have been for a few days, especially yesterday and last night whereby the psychosis re-emerged again and I thought people were out to get me and could hear my thoughts. It happened after I had a call from a mental health team who wanted to schedule in a time to do an assessment for PARCS which is happening later in the afternoon today. I called the triage line who put me straight back to the mental health worker I’d been dealing with earlier in the afternoon and they gave me advice and told me what to do. I think it’s just the stress of everything building up and I can’t handle it which makes me feel weak and pathetic and useless. I’m scared about going back to PARCS because I’m not sure if they’ll be able to help me - negative thoughts, SI and SH issues, depressed mood- so it’ll be interesting to see how the assessment goes. Right now, all I feel safe is with me in bed with the blind closed and under the covers with the occasional bit of knitting occurring when I can get motivated to do it. Basically, I’m in a bit of a dark place right now and not travelling too well. I’m sorry for the rant! I think I might head over to Jude’s Jungle and hide out there for a while.

See you around the forums! Take care!

Re: Good Morning!

Hello @Former-Member nice to see you on here!  I'm glad you like your job with SANE, I think it would be really cool working as a peer worker.  Its not something I would aspire to myself but appreciate the work of lived experience folk and the contributions they make on here. I hope you have a nice day today. As for me just housework, cleaned up a bit and did an audit of my fridge and chest freezer. Now I'm going to have a siesta PHEW!

Re: Good Morning!

Hi @Judi9877 Thanks for checking in with us today. I'm sorry to hear how hard things are for you right now, but I'm glad to hear you are safe in your bed and have taken steps to get the support you need. I hear there is a build up of stress and honestly, there's only so much we can take. It's understandable. You aren't weak, pathetic and useless, although you may feel that way. You strike me as someone who has a lot of self-awareness and knows what they need and that shows great strength. You lift others up and make people smile and that is a very beautiful thing.

I'm glad you are getting the help you have identified you need. We are here sitting with you during these difficult times.

Please take care 💝

Re: Good Morning!

Hey there @Judi9877! Just looking in to see how you are travelling. I hope you're plodding on and trying to lift yourself out of your downer–or at least, hold your own. I'm struggling too at the moment. Wish it wasn't so. Sending all good wishes. 😊
