Hi @Judi9877
Oh my I understand about the root canal! I had to have this done a few years ago and the sensations were something else. I had 'happy' gas as well to relax me. I only had on session of root canal when the dentist realised that my tooth actually had something wrong with it that couldn't be fixed. I ended up having an extraction and then got an implant last year. The process was full on but I'm glad now that I did it. I hope your mouth isn't too sore.
The cold is a bit of a struggle isn't it and I'm not even in Melbourne. I hope you at least get some sunshine.
Sending hugs

Morning @Judi9877
Wishing you a fast recovery, especially with something new. I'm glad your housemate is there to support you ❤️
I've started calling the knitting of sleeves "Sleeve Island" 🏝 because I seem to get stranded there for a long time hehehe
I also struggle with boredom, does anyone have suggestions? 🤔

Hey @Former-Member what I do with boredom is break with routine and go off to different places which may show me something new about the world. I also have been known to read different specialist magazines to expose my brain to new ideas and expand my horizons 😊

hehe I'm glad you enjoyed that @StuF!
And that's a great idea @Former-Member. I love the magazine idea to be exposed to knew ideas. I might try that ❤️

Hey @Former-Member
You are so right about dental work being no walk in the park! I used to have a severe dental phobia and let my checkups go for way too long. I finally had the courage to return when I found a gentle dentist who I really liked and trusted and feel much better about seeing a dentist nowadays. I'm 52 and when I was young dentists were often quite rough and not at all gentle. Much better nowadays but it can take a long time to overcome your old fears.

I've had lots of extractions and orthodontic treatment @hanami which has put me off dentists. I think when we are younger we can weather anything and are largely unaware of risks. We easily allow ourselves to be easily entrusted in a dentists care. Fear of dentists is normal. I knew of a dentist that used Bach flower essence in his practice to settle his patients. They are a homeopathic remedy used to treat emotional states. I think he used "emergency essence" in his Bach flower range which is a combination of flower essences to calm people.
