Yeah its a bit of a stuff up hey @TAB re: Centrelink. I wish there was something we could say that would offer assurance but its like cold hard reality in your face. Its not easy living under such a cloud TAB. I don't know how you would deal with a lack of certainty with your finances.
You may have some savings but it would be like "when does the money run out after all the rent and living expenses???" Just try and live frugally would be the first plan and then work out how long the Centrelink holding off period is.
Is it feasible to get a housemate in or not? I know its hard getting to our age and not wanting any dramas with living arrangements but maybe a housemate could chip in the pay half the rent and you could save that money that you would have paid out yourself in rent for future contingencies.
I'm really sorry I could not speak to you before but had to get my health checked out by my GP to rule out any physical issues before having acupuncture at another clinic. I have not had proper sleep in over a week. I'm not at my best today but am interested in what is going on for you. The doc gave me a script in the interim then acupuncture tomorrow

You got me a bit alarmed @TAB I've had many posts taken down by moderators, possibly for good reason but recognise some posts could be triggering to folks with a new diagnosis or who are in a vulnerable state with their mental health stuff. Just because we get to this stage and toughened up doesn't mean other people are in the same boat as us. Sometimes symptoms can get worse with age or are just worse!
