Hey @Historylover I had a friend once say we have fleeting moments of happiness ie. not being happy all the time. I once came across a quote about our state of mind being akin to a cup and saucer floating on the turbulent waves of the ocean being knocked about by the sea. I think its true. How you harness the tea cup and not be thrown about by the ocean is a thing which is worth pondering 💛

Nice sentiment @Former-Member, but my seas are somewhat too unrelentingly turbulent for my comfort. I'm taking full advantage of the lull at the moment. Phew.

No good @Historylover I wish your situation was different. We have just had a full moon and they are always typically difficult and the days leading up to it especially. My ex used to be an orderly in a hospital when he was younger and he said ER usually puts on more staff deliberately around a full moon as there are more accidents/casualties around this time. People tend to act out in their personal lives too. So theres lots of volatility

Hey @TAB I just read one of your posts. So you might quit your job? I'm really sorry its come to this. It must feel like a stuck and hopeless situation given your incapacities. You must be feeling down so I'm going to cheer you up with this old track you may have not seen before:

yes, have every reason to feel hopeless, was feeling very set upon last week with centrelink hassles, now my solution for that has come home to roost already lol .. ie not on it anymore lol
I was happy last week, bit worried re knee though, have done what I can so far, short of quitting job, now need to get medical opinion again and physio even if dr says knee okay again when it really isnt. @Former-Member
then, based on prognosis, ie how long it might take to get function back will try and work out some sort of income again. Maybe I could get another job in the meantime, something sedentary ? who knows, think centerlink again unless will take 12 weeks or more to get back on it which could happen I guess.. anyhoo .........

Good morning @TAB @Former-Member @Historylover @MDT @maddison @greenpea @Shaz51 @frog @Clawde @Meowmy @RedHorse @Lilian2015 @tyme @Daisydreamer @Former-Member @cloudcore @Peri @outlander @Zoe7 @Eve7 @Boo13 and everyone here today. Happy Saturday! I hope your day goes well!
It’s a sunny morning in Melbourne and I’m in a good mood although how long that lasts is debatable as I have a session with my psychologist this afternoon which I’m a little nervous about. There have been things over the past month that need to be discussed but I’m not too sure about how I want to handle them right now. Oh well. That’s life I guess. I will admit to feeling more calmer and relaxed since the whole Tafe/uni dilemma has been now sorted out and I know where I’m going academically for the next few years so that’s a good thing!
Take care!
