Hi @BPDSurvivor and @greenpea , @Judi9877 , @MDT , @Former-Member
Thanks for the tag and enquiry regarding how I'm going, @BPDSurvivor . Things are good at the moment. Though my back is giving me a bit of trouble with pain and difficulty walking. Have to get into the pool this year and bicycle riding - two areas that don't add to pain. Usually don't write too much about problems, so that's enough of that.
I've started a new thread called "Henry's Landing Strip & Hanger" where I've given a bit of a write-up on the early end of my life. The essays are in my usual style but I hope some will enjoy a little background on life, as it was for me, nearly 2/3rd of a century ago. All welcome as described in the introduction.
We have crossed paths recently in BPD Awareness last Tuesday, but that flows too quickly, in accordance with its purpose, for individual conversation. Look forward to more contact in future.
Cheers

Hello @greenpea
When I have gone in for surgery, I have mentally handed myself over to the anaesthetist and surgeon. I have found it releasing to give them responsibility for the process and the outcome.
While I am aware that working on the heart gives rise to strong feelings, the three fusion and laminectomy operations, that I have had, are all around the nerve pathways in the spinal column. Consequently, it is easy to become distressed.
I am not aware of your history with the type of procedure that you are having, or other procedures, but I hope that you will feel comfortable handing the process to them and looking forward positively to a great outcome.
With My Very Best Wishes
for next Tuesday
