@MDT I think having too much sugar and treats has become the new normal with lockdown!!! Its a reward system for the brain because theres nothing much going for the world right now to reward us with...
The only problem is sugar can irriatate the brain and stimulate depression so it would be a better idea to not have it in the house.
Sugar inflames my brain and brings on depressive episodes which is why I aim not to have it. If I throw out cakes and slices my depression goes away.
There is a strong connection between brain inflammation caused by sugar and depression. I also heard sugar depletes Vitamind D so its not doing anyone any favors during this pandemic.
Try other brain rewards such as getting into nature, exercising, tai.chi/yoga, medicinal herbs, acupuncture, massage to build energy in the body and ditch the sugar!
