Hi @greenpea and @TAB , @MDT , @Former-Member , @Former-Member
Thanks for the tag and message @greenpea
Things are going ok at the moment. Have been doing a couple of trips to Geraldton, mainly medical. Fortunately, I enjoy the drive. I normally listen to the ABC programs while travelling. It's really meditative, and to some degree, therapeutic. Recently had first cov-vax. Decided that there are likely to be sanctions and restrictions imposed for people who have not had it. The Pfizer one is what I received, about a week ago, with the second due on the 14 October.
I had a full series of vaccines, including rabies and others, for a planned study trip to Cambodia, {teaching English as a second language - ESL} that was canned because of covid and overseas travel restrictions. The course of about 3 weeks is provided by an Australian based company in Phnom Penh and also in Siem Reap. I had no adverse effects from that series of vaccinations, which I found surprising. With the covid vax., I had a sore arm, a mild headache and a little stomach pain for a couple of days. Otherwise all ok.
While there has not been the same issues with covid, here in W.A., it is still on everyone's mind, mainly because of QR codes, sign in, hand sanitiser requirements, when entering stores and other locations and all the reporting from other states.
In other respects, life flows on in the little town in which I live, and is generally fairly quiet.
Best Wishes to all
