Re: Good Morning!
Aww @Clawde .. @utopia had similar thing other day too I read.
I had to get my cat put down years ago. Vet agreed to do it. then they started playing games when I got there, made me hold her while they did the deed.
I wasnt good for a while, but I know she is still around somewhere, and lots of memories, not just of her leaving.
Prob shouldnt say it but driving down the road in my 15 year old car today saw person in a motorised chair with backrest and all the gear and though well, I'm lucky. Poor buggers.

Re: Good Morning!
You're right @TAB , it's about putting things in perspective?
@Clawde , I'm sorry to hear of your loss. Hugs to you. I had two dogs in the past which had to be put down due to their age. I miss them dearly - to the point where I don't think I could own another dog.
As a person with BPD, separation is extremely hard - animals or people. We feel things sooooo deeply. I remember when my dogs started to go downhill, I began to withdraw from them. I couldn't bear the pain of watching them get worse each day. I loved my dogs so much. So loyal. Man's best friend.
Thinking of you @Clawde ,

Re: Good Morning!
but then, what is a 'good' topic?
Surely this is a safe space in which to share grief. I know the turmoil, I know it isn't straight forward, grief has several facets, and flips through them over and over, and everyone travels the path in their own way.
Some grieve privately, some wish to share, it somehow eases the pain.
@BPDSurvivor @Clawde Some of us are just very sensitive , I don't know. When one connects mutually with another, human or other animal, separation is hard.
I still have wafts of grief over a year after losing a cat and a dog unexpectedly.
Lots and lots of quiet hugs to you both. I truly understand. Hugs oxoxoxox

Re: Good Morning!
I might have taken your comment badly. I first read it in a way that (to me) said "leave this topic".
My sincere apologies. Re-reading after I posted, I'm thinking you are just meaning that indeed it is a sad subject.
Please accept my apologies. hugs
