Re: Farewell Cherrybomb

@CherryBomb It doesn't matter why you are leaving. Everybody leaves. Everybody always has a very good reason why they leave, but the reason doesn't matter. All that matters is that anyone I start to feel a tiny sense of connection to leaves. Everybody leaves!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is why I will never do the friend thing again. You see? Just the other day you told me you were my friend, and now you are leaving. My whole inside is exploding. Smiley SadSmiley SadSmiley Sad

Hugs @Phoenix_Rising

I so understand you xooo

Re: Farewell Cherrybomb

@BlueBay and @Phoenix_Rising Smiley Sad

It is sad. I'm going to miss you all.

Me leaving doesn't mean that our connection is anything less.

It may not seem like this now, but having a connection with others can be a positive thing, even if they leave. Building a sense of connection with someone means that you have skills to build rapport and open yourself up. Please don't shut yourself down. Relationships (even working relationships) can teach us a lot. They can let us know what it's important to look for in future relationships.

What can I do in my next few days here with you?

Re: Farewell Cherrybomb

@CherryBomb it isn't like that at all!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I've heard all those lines a trillion times before from the other trillion people that have gone away. It HURTS @CherryBomb. My whole inside HURTS. What does it possibly mean to say that your leaving "doesn't mean that our connection is anything less." WHAT DOES THAT MEAN?????????????? You are here and you are leaving. Having someone there and then having them leave IS NOT A POSITIVE THING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have lost a thousand million people over the past twenty years. NONE OF THAT LOSS IS POSITIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have giant angry feelings and the angry feelings are because my inside hurts so bad. Angry and hurting. Super super super angry and super super super hurting. I so very very VERY badly wish I could pick up the phone and call someone right now. I super need to talk it out and there is no-one. Hurting super giant bad. Smiley SadSmiley Sad

Re: Farewell Cherrybomb

Love those pics Faith-and-hope

Cherrybomb 🙏 glad you're setting an example in self care by prioritizing what's best for you. And thanks for giving us notice - time to adjust to change - to be a positive part of the process. I relate to Phoenix_Rising sense of abandonment at times like this, which is why I rarely get close or dependent on anyone. I do hope you finish your PhD and maybe write a book one day. All the very very best 🌷🌿

Re: Farewell Cherrybomb

hey CherryBomb, we remember you here when we joined, which seems like a couple of lifetimes ago but was actually after we started our PhD. So we totally get the finish PhD thing - may we all do it, astoundingly 🙂 Best wishes.

Re: Farewell Cherrybomb

Awww thanks so much for the well wishes!

I can't believe that this is it! Sadly, this is an end of era for me. Some of you may not know this, but @NikNik and I have been working on the SANE Forums since the very beginning. In the 'old days', we used to get excited about getting ONE post in the evening. In fact, there would be some nights - most nights - in the beginning where we got NO posts! We use to wonder if we were doing something wrong! Now we get a few 100, and that's just in the evenings! Smiley Surprised

It's been amazing to watch this community grow, and to see the bonds that have been forged among the members. I'm amazed everyday at the depth of insight and understanding that you have and give to one another. All you have helped to build and make this community what it is.

This has been a really immensely rewarding experience. You have taught me and inspired me. I really do consider it a privilege to have been able share some of your jouneys with you. I thank you from the bottom of my heart.

This is CherryBomb signing out. Heart
