That is a good chunk of sleep combined for you @Faith-and-Hope I think tonight will be a super early night for me - already planning on taking night meds early to hopefully help with that.
Really pleased to hear the kitchen is done. I only did one section of my kitchen but it did also feel good to have more bench space where I had stacked things that belonged elsewhere. You won't know yourself when everything is sorted - it is such a good feeling to have it all clean, tidy and know where things are.
I don't have a tv in my bedroom since I moved into the smaller room but I like it like that now. Great though you can set D2 up in there with you to watch the footy - I am doing the same thing at the moment - both my women's and men's teams play today. How is D2 with Nelly now? Is Nelly helping you with the cupboard sorting?

D2 and Nelly are working themselves out a bit @Zoe7. Sorting finding their own ends of the room ..... Nelly can tell that D2 is "different" and is a bit wary of her. D2 hs realised that Nelly is an enigma, so appreciates that she is here with us, but doesn't really know what to do with her.
I have come to lie down again ..... feeling zonked , but hard-pressed to work out where the day has gone. It's been bits and pieces of tidying up, like wiping down light switches and door handles, heating the lunch, moving table (little one) and chairs to my room, that sort of thing. Nelly is helping by hiding in my wardrobe and sleeping under my desk 😏

The days just go like that sometimes @Faith-and-Hope I also feel I have done nothing today but the day has nearly gone Spent a lot of time laying down and very little work done but I had to in order to rest my back ...it is very frustrating but nothing I can do about it. I didn't go to the chemist either so will need to do that tomorrow after work now.
It is good Nelly and D2 are working each other out a little - cats are certainly very perceptive little creatures 👍 Super cute she is in your cupboard and under your desk - she clearly has taken to you with love and trust and that is wonderful to hear
I am watching footy now - might be the only game we play this season with everything moving so quickly and more bans in place for travel upcoming. No doubt that will severely affect you too Hon so it is great that you are making a home for yourself in the east where you can feel more comfortable. Of course you will miss your western bds but it will make it even more special when you can visit them again 💖

Hey @Faith-and-Hope Looks like I am going to work tomorrow - who knows how many kids I will have and I am honestly not worried about having all the marking and planning not done ...will do what I can as I go tomorrow. Our mornings are pretty set and routine but have a little work to do for part of it - going to go in early to start that but then wait to see who actually turns up to finish on the run.
I suppose we will know more tomorrow about what we can and can't do and what the next couple of weeks could potentially look like. Feeling very much for those that as of tomorrow will not have a job to go to for the foreseeable future ...tough times everywhere and who knows what else is to come!
Very much thinking of you and D2 in all this too Hon ...and hoping that you (and all your baby dragons) are safe

Thank you @Zoe7 .....
Yes, it's a changed society almost overnight. We are going to have to adapt and work together to keep everyone as safe as possible through this time of crisis.
I am thankful we have a government unafraid to make the tough decisions though, after seeing the Bondi beach party that is already where COVID-19 cases are emerging from. Hopefully these measures have come in early enough and that sort of mistake won't have the sort of dire consequences we are witnessing in other countries.
I think there will be a shift in employment too @Zoe7. People will lose jobs, but a whole lot of new jobs will emerge as a consequence. Apparently the cafes are not allowed to have sit-in customers, but they can still serve take-away, so people who were table service staff will be employed for take away orders instead. There is also alteady a flood of employment around stocking shelves, delivery, cleaning services. Education is going online. More tech services and phone-based services will be required, etc.
It will be interesting to see what happens, and how quickly. My D2 did distance education for a little while. That might become the model for schooling in general for a while, and perhaps the facility to switch from classroom based to electronic delivery and back again will become the new normal.

I have already had one message from a parent who is keeping her child at home for the foreseeable future @Faith-and-Hope and tomorrow I need to send her log in details for several of the online sites I have set up. I think that will become the norm for a while as you do. It is nowhere near the face to face and hands on learning that our team utilise but so much is changing so we need to adapt. As long as that can be done from the actual school I should cope. I don't want it to get to a stage where we have to stay home because quite frankly I don't think I would cope with that.
Yes the world as we knew it has changed overnight and we don't know where things will head in the future - but what we can do is look out for each other, be kind to each other and adapt to what we can. It is indeed a scary time but I am with you - the measures the government are putting in place are very proactive and I feel essential in order to contain this virus and win the battle.
