Re: Far and Away
I'm okay. Just visiting with my dad at the moment and he doesn't have wifi, so being a bit careful with my data, but thinking of y'all .....
This are coming to surface by degrees, as S2 is reviewed by a psychiatrist, and he is looking at personality types .... think this is going to feed back to WH, but whether that brings the whole e.d. to light, or just how severe his control issues are and messed up dynamics with mil now under the progression of it all, dunno ......
Have to wait and see, and the best way to not stress out about it is to stay as tuned out and distracted as possible at the moment. It will be what it will be in due course and is just going to send me spiralling with anxiety if I try to second-guess what is going to happen and upset myself with it all.
What I am looking at is how I can try to phrase things to explain enough about what is going on to give the pdoc as many gigantic clues as I can ...... cos it's likely I will be sitting in the same room as WH while answering questions, so I am going to have to use terminology that doesn't trigger his temper but still get some sort of message across.
Trying to rephrase "extremely conteolling" and "excessive rewarding" as parenting terms, and how to describe "guiding and nurturing" style parenting as the opposite form.
Using the time here to mull that over, cos the apt is this week, and I've got to give it my best shot.

Re: Far and Away
Yes, my dad lives by the ocean. I will post some pics when I am home tomorrow and back in possession of my trusty iPad ......
I managed three very short beach walks. A lot of time was spent helping to restructure things a bit in my dad's house to make it easier for him to manage and help declutter a bit.
The weather has been beautiful - not cold and not hot. It's semi-rural, so it's peaceful
and there is wildlife about.

Re: Far and Away
I bet your Dad is happy to spend some time with you. I am glad the weather as been nice too. When is S2's appointment, I hope the specialist is able to help him some more. Because anxiety does not improve with age and its important to get that sorted as soon as possible.
I am just at home tonight- its the first night that I have felt the cold here. I have some appointments tomorrow and going out to dinner tomorrow night.

Re: Far and Away
Considering the family dynamics as they have developed around WH's eating disorder, I am relieved that S2 is receiving counselling and support for his anxiety issues.
Stay warm, and I am glad you have a dinner out tomorrow night. Enjoy ❣️
