Found the problem with the drains @Faith-and-Hope @Snowie @Shaz51 - the whole bloody thing has disintegrated ...so a MUCH bigger job now ...going to take me days to dig it all out and lay a new one. I can only do a little at a time because I am being really careful about not putting too much pressure on my back. Toby is trying to help but he has never been a digger so I have employed him back in his usual supervisory role lol One little white fluffball no longer ...he is going to need a bath 😔

Hahaha @Zoe7 ….. so sorry to hear that the job has turned out to be such a drama tho.  Still, once it is done you will have confidence that it is all secure into the future.

I agree @Faith-and-Hope I am actually grateful I started it now because I have the time left in the holidays to fix it. Just need the rain to stay away now otherwise I will have the pool I always wanted right at my back door LOL

Drain hole/pool update ....have to cut out the back step as there is also a leak coming from under it somewhere. That means the pipe leading into the drain pipe is also cactus. At this rate I will still be digging until next holidays 😔 

I gave up for a while and painted part of my fence instead - I find painting soothing and now the corner is ready to plant some plants I have had sitting in their pots since the summer holidays.

...and I also pulled up half the tiles in the laundry - will do the rest tomorrow.

Now time for a much needed shower, snuggle time with the fur babies and a night on the couch 😁
