Hi @tyme ,
Paris gets clipped every 6-8 weeks depending on how shaggy she is I suppose.
No I didn’t grow up on a farm, but was born in a small county town in Victoria.

Not much @avant-garde
Looking after the kids - my sister's kids who live next door, work, church... that's pretty much it.
Sorry to hear about your ear infection... ouch! As for iron? Mine's low-as! If I don't get it up, I'll also need infusions. It's on 3 at the moment.

I thought I was doing okay this weekend. But then it all fell on top on me in a instant and now I can hardly breath it's so much.

Oh @Rockdog ! You're a Victorian at heart lol!
Seems like you like the quieter places?
As for Paris, 6-8 weeks sounds about right. We clip Ruby right back, but she's already shaggy as... but I guess it's better than losing fur everywhere. My labrador used to shed everywhere. I hated it on our clothes.

The ear infection isn't painful, just annoying
Mines 22 but it's started affecting my haemoglobin so I'll become anaemic if I don't get an infusion, I've been on supplements for 12 months and it's not increasing fast enough

Hey @Mumfallingapart ,
I'm sorry to hear this. It sounds like you were looking for a bit of a breather and thought this weekend would be better.
Please don't be too hard on yourself. It happens to the best of us and doesn't necessarily means things are going 'wrong'.
We can sit here and chat if you want.

I'm guessing it's an outer ear infection then? I'm glad it's not painful. Must be itchy?? @avant-garde
I remember having an ear infection once... and I had to travel home by plane... ouchy. The pain was intense!
As for your iron, I'm sorry to hear it's affecting your haemoglobin... it's amazing how our bodies are. For all our systems to work as they do - it never ceases to amaze me.
What crafts and art do you like doing?

Yes! Incredibly itchy! I've only had the hearing aids a bit over a month and apparently it's quite normal in summer due to the humidity.
I learned that low iron can cause breathing difficulties and how much oxygen is getting around and so my asthma has been worse and it hasn't been pleasant...
Oh my art... I love my art...
Right now I'm working on a diamond art key hanger in craft group, it's actually a wooden block but that feels pointless so I'm going to put hooks in the bottom once all the dots are on.
Art class I finished my Christmas project and I'll get to start something new this week, it will be a one week project so I'll be using alcohol ink, normally I have it to over 2 weeks but I have a Christmas party next week so won't get to go to class but I like the opportunity to do the ink stuff, might do another pendant or something, we'll see...
Besides that I write poetry and do jigsaw puzzles, I have all these broken bottle gift bags that I'm going to be creative with and maybe turn into cute decorations...
Do you do any craft type things?
24-11-2024 09:49 PM
24-11-2024 09:49 PM
I don't do any art anymore. I used to be very creative, but since I spend so much time with my nibblings, I don't have time for art and craft.
Oh, you sound like me in terms of things having to be 'useful'. That's also another issue why I don't do art and craft anymore. I'm a minimalist and don't like 'stuff' around that doesn't have use. @avant-garde
I'm about to head off for the night, but thanks for the chat. I'll see you later this week.
Hope your health improves!
