that means i might be up for a trip to spotlight to find the right button! what a shame that would be 😉
hows your project going?
ill need to find something else to make now. ive got 4 yarn cakes that i can use so im looking at another smaller type thing again. not enough to make a blanket and cushion cover through so itll have to be something else. any ideas?

Re: Craft Corner
I've finished parts 1 and 2 of 'Sophie'. I'm not sure about it though. I don't really like the cotton I'm using and am finding it buckling a lot. I think I'm getting frustrated with lots at the moment and maybe losing my crojo at the same time. 🤔😏
Will chip away at it until I decide exactly what to do I think.

Re: Craft Corner
What about beanies/scarves/slipper socks? Ooh or a hooded cowl? There are some super cute bear kind of ones with ears.
I lost my favourite beanie a couple of months ago (a double pompom one 🙁) and need to try and make another.

Re: Craft Corner

i dont know how to make pompoms yet either
oh i could make a beanie and scarf set? not to sure on a pattern though....might have to have a look on pintrest..
awww youll have to make another beanie!
i can see your pic now and it looks lovely!
do you think changing yarn material might be worth ago and seeing if that helps your frustrations or see if you can get your crojo back by making yourself a beanie?

Re: Craft Corner
It's starting to become great weather for getting stuck in to beanie and scarf making! I find there's something really comforting about creating beanies with a cup of tea in winter 🙂
I think I need to change the yarn (the white feels like crocheting with string 😏) but don't want to start again as that would be my thrid try at Sophie. Maybe she will beat me after all 😑
Next trip out I'll have a look for some chunky yarn to make a beanie to replace mine. I really feel the cold without one in winter but it has to be a 'me' style beanie or I won't wear it!
Pompoms are fun to make. I used to do them with cardboard as a kid (still do) but there are now pompom making tools that make it easier, though cardboard works just as well I think 🙂

Re: Craft Corner
hmm what a weird feeling to be crocheting with!
hmm so your not wasting your yarn if you dont want to continue making a sophie blanket. the pic you uplaoded looks like it might be the right size for a teapot or a cup coaster thingy that you put on the table- hope that makes sense! maybe you could make a teapot and cup coaster/placemat set?
i wasnt ever taught to make pompoms so thats something ill have to learn too cause they be be used on like anything lol.

Re: Craft Corner
Hi @BlueBay @Faith-and-Hope @Hope4me
Thank you@outlander and @CheerBear .
Your cushion cover @outlander i love the colours and i think its lovely, what stitches did you use.
@CheerBear your round Sophie looks wonderful and really hard, id love to be able to to that kind of crocheting one day. As for you using the cotton, I'm not knowledgeable about sorts of yarns and what ones are best to use, ive only ever used the 100% Acrylic 100gram ones
I found there cheaper then others and i dont have a lot of money for the other types.
I came across some new patterns called C2C corner ones that have lovely pictures in them I was wandering if you have heard of these and used them as they seem complicated from what ive read.

Re: Craft Corner
Hey there @outlander @CheerBear @saturnzoon 🖐
Been following along with your convo's. Love the pics of your projects! And Care Bear; Crojo??? Hahahahaha...love it!!!
Can I please put an order in for a beret? They're not as close to the head as beanie's which makes them better to wear to any gathering and are still warm. This one has wrist warmers...
