Hi @BlueBay @Shaz51 @Former-Member @DogMan79 @tyme @Daisydreamer @Paperdaisy and all crafty critters here.
I know it’s been a long time between posts (I’ve been spending time on the Knitting thread as I’ve been doing a lot of knitting lately) but I just thought I’d say hi 👋 and post a few things as to what I’ve been working on lately - cross stitching, crochet blanket and knitting! See below for the photos! The cross stitch photo is upside down - sorry!
My crochet granny square blanket which will have 4 balls of wool in it - currently part way through ball 2 of a blanket just for me. I started this 2 weeks ago on a Sunday afternoon after being bored with knitting and I found I really enjoyed the whole process of using a crochet hook to make a blanket with it making me feel calm and relaxed.
The beanies I’m knitting are for the Salvation Army which I’m planning to knit and donate 31 beanies with 27 currently knitted just in time for April when I next visit the local donation centre for people in need.
I look forward to seeing all of your crafty creations!

Hi all,
I’m recovering from knee replacement surgery and have been very bored, which wasn’t helping my mental health so I just recently picked knitting needles & crochet hook. Generally I love to many different crafts, but I’m very critical of myself and have fallen into the trap of thinking why bother it wont turn out well.
so I have decided to be brave and post My first project in a log time. Glasses holder for a fam member.

Oh wow, this is incredible @Ellie4
Looks like it wouldn't be the easiest project to create.
Thank you so much for sharing this creation with us here at craft corner! 🧡
Love that you are claiming that bravery by showing us!

Hi there everyone. Just checking in to say hello and to see what’s happening here in the Craft Corner.
@Ellie4 welcome to the Craft Corner! Your glasses critter is so well done and I love it! I also crochet - just blankets in granny square format- so I admire all people who can make toys and the like out of crochet.
I’ve just completed another beanie for charity tonight (Tuesday) so I’ve included a photo for all to see. It’s going to my donation pile to be donated to charity at the end of the month when I get up to 31 beanies - currently 29 knitted so far.
Keep up the great work, forumites!

Hi all,
I am having a wonderful time writing my novel. Does that count as a craft? My craft is my writing. I am always asked what my novel is about, how many words long is it so far. I will not answer the former question here, in terms of the latter question I think (and I am not 100% sure here either) but I think it is over 95k words. I have been writing my novel since November last year.

Writing a book is creative, so why not @Jake63!
im writing a book too, but not a novel. I’m at the 53k word count and I’ve been writing for a couple of months now.
does it come naturally for you? Like is it easy??

Hi Bow,
Yes - without a doubt it comes to me very easily indeed. I absolutely love being creative through writing and expressing myself through the written word. The written word fascinates me and it charms me in a way I cannot possibly articulate!
I am now able to churn out 1,000 words a day. On an especially good day I can put out more than 3,000 words. I am constantly bombarded with ideas, I carry a notebook around with me for those frequent moments where ideas fall into my head (walking down the street I often get ideas and have to write them down).
