Re: Christmas Loungeroom
Hi @Zoe7 @MDT @TAB @Former-Member @jamesle2015 @Former-Member @Shaz51 and all those hanging around at the moment. I hope your festivities are going great whatever you are up to.
I love your dog @Zoe7 Very cute!
As for me, I’m not going too well right now and haven’t been for the past hour or so. Let’s just say I went to my housemates Mums house for dinner around 5:30 and her Mum and sister started to pick on her hair and other things. One thing led to another and I couldn’t handle it mentally anymore- I told my housemate the 2 of them would do this which is why I didn’t want to go to dinner in the first place- so I decided to go out to my car to chill out. That didn’t go down too well but I had to escape all of their issues. I called my sister at work to talk and now she’s concerned but I’ve told her I know what to do and I’m safe- I’m trying to protect myself- but all my housemate and her family see is that it’s Christmas and I’m being rude and disrespectful. Her mum came out to me in the car before and tried to say that it’s Christmas and there’s special food and all that but I can’t physically stand to walk back in and see or deal with any of those people right now or if ever.
Why can’t people see that I’m trying to protect my health in many ways, and so beit if it just happens to be Christmas Day? We all have issues and have our breaking points- mine just happened to be now.
Roll on Boxing Day in a few hours because I’m in for some cricket action on TV at the MCG- wonder how the wicket will pull up @Zoe7 @Former-Member and all sports fans? Not to mention the Sydney-Hobart yacht race and then the Big Bash! Sports time is here and then the tennis starts. Yippee!
Okay. Gotta go. Looks like the people are on again. I’ll check in later if I can. I’m okay @Former-Member

Re: Christmas Loungeroom
WIll make a start on it tonight @MDT Would prefer to have most of it done tonight so I can enjoy the day with Mum tomorrow. We don't have anything planned this year - usually have to book well in advance to take her somewhere on Boxing Day - and a lot of places are not open. I took her on a river cruise a couple of years ago where we travelled down the Derwent River to a lovely restaurant then travelled back to Hobart. It was only Mum, my sister and myself and it was a lovely day. No funds to do anything like that this year so probably a coffee shop locally. We have been to a pancake place not far from where she lives a couple of times and that is always lovely because it is situated next to ponds.
