Re: Best Friends Club
@ENKELI I think Psalms 46:10 is your God telling you to be and be in the moment. Is nice 😊
Do you not have a Gastro Emergency kit?
Gastro Stop; water crackers; Hydralyte. Nurofen ✅
Was going to watch my daughter and son in law race today. But then I had a series of events that made me late.
Truth is I think I have Bee’s cold 🤧😷
Do you ever go to sign off on a post and start typing your real name?
I do it a lot.

Re: Best Friends Club
@Glisten yes, Psalm 46:10 is exactly that. I have heard God whisper to me those 2 words, be still.
I often feel guilty for doing nothing and being unmotivated and He will remind me to be still in the moment.
Today has been okay. I recognised my manic behaviour of over shopping and have stopped looking on Myer, eBay and marketplace. I DID purchase a SAD lamp, hopefully it will help act like the sun and improve my mood on the dark days.
Drink some chicken soup laden with garlic to get rid of your cold. Jewish mothers swear by it to cure everything apparently!
Look after yourself my lovely 😍

@Alonely I'm so sorry you feel that R U OK day is tokenistic. I have been fortunate enough to see the good this day creates and can see where it has helped. Your co-worker has no idea.
I hope the rest of your week- what's left of it anyway! 🫂

Re: Best Friends Club
@ENKELI European Australians have a LOT of difficultly being still, silent and holding space.
We don’t like air in the conversation.
Everything opposite to our First Nations people.
For them, being still, silent and holding space, is an opportunity to hear what their ancestors and spirits have to tell them. I think I have that correct (?)
We have a lot to learn.

@Jynx R U AWARE? Aware of what exactly? R U OK Day makes it quite clear that the day is about mental health and awareness of mental illness. What's the point of another day that is the same thing.

Re: Best Friends Club
@Glisten Yes, we as humans have a lot to learn about being still. God has taught me better than anyone or anything what being still means. I just forget when I am down so deep.
I also believe that if people could learn to co-exist and get over the irrelevant labels we demand be placed on ourselves, the world would be a much kinder place.

Re: Best Friends Club
@ENKELI I can’t disagree with that. We all bleed and breathe the same.
And that Maslow dude was like, ‘hey, we all need these same basic things 🙌🏼’.
