Volunteering was good @Bunniekins - I volunteer in a kind of soup kitchen, but they do much more. If there's any food left over at the end of service, they freeze some in containers, for people to take with them the next day and they let the volunteers have some. So sometimes you get a meal and a dessert, it's a small serve but it's enough for me and I wouldn't have dessert otherwise.
