Re: Best Friends Club
@Blackcloud you should be super proud of yourself, I'm proud of you ❤️.
Sounds like the next project is lots of fun. I'm definitely no artist but do enjoy attempting to draw 😂.

Re: Best Friends Club
@Dreamy awww I really appreciate that 🫂
the next project is pretty similar to the current project we're doing - it's just that for both projects we're pretty much just doing artist research, some drawings etc. but the topics on both projects that we're learning are kinda different, but they are all related to visual/fine arts generally.
Are you currently studying at the moment? If you are, what are you studying - if you dont mind sharing of course 😄

@Blackcloud anytime 😊
Well as long as you enjoy it that's all that matters.
No studying for me, I did my school years that was enough 😂.

Re: Best Friends Club
@Dreamy lol fair enough 🙂
I'm so looking forward to tomorrow's weather by the way (i dont know if i said this already) but if its gonna turn out the way i expect it to be tomorrow, then hopefully i can go outside for a walk during this cold temperature weather. I like it more when the weather is either warm or cold, but definitely not when it's hot for a reason.
Also I love learning about Chinese art history so far as I was taking notes in relation to it for my upcoming image analysis assessment, and as someone who has a Chinese ancestry in my background, it makes the subject even more interesting when you're learning stuff thats related to your ethnic background especially, at least for me 🙂
I would love to share some random facts about what I've learnt about it all haha, I get excited when it comes to it! 😄

Oohh that sounds really interesting and even better that it's part of your ethnic background.
I'd love to hear random facts about it when you have some to share 😊

@creative_writer I'm glad that you've came here today. Hopefully talking to me at least can make you feel better about tonight ❤️
Yes it's going good for me this evening/tonight right now since I'm on here talking to you and other users here. A great thing for me to be doing tonight after hours of working on an assignment and need a bit of a recharge 😴

Re: Best Friends Club
@Dreamy *getting my notebook out and flicking some pages to view all the notes I've took*
here's a couple of them
- Taoism and Buddhism influenced the development of Chinese Art and both were responsible for its continuinity of Chinese Art over the centuries
- painting flourished during the Tang and Song Period
- The Japanese aesthetic has been a powerful influence on western architecture, design and fashion in the 20th century
- Landscape (also known as 'mountain-water') Art is the highest form of art in China. this art exploits the elements of the natural world visually and spiritually
- the Tang and Song (subsequent dynasties of the Sui) gave great emphasis to the arts in the development and reflection of spiritual values - including the Neo-Confucian ideas that are found within visual expression mostly in landscape art
- the wall paintings of the song period was formed against the background of specific external religious factors, as the rulers of the song dynasty contributed to the development of both buddhism and taoism

Re: Best Friends Club
@Blackcloud oohhh that is so interesting, I feel smarter now knowing some of the Chinese art history 😊.
Really does open your eyes to the history of art and how it's different in each culture.
Thankyou so much for sharing ❤️
