Re: Best Friends Club

Hello @ArraDreaming

Re: Best Friends Club

@Blackcloud i really hope it doesn't end up in that situation for you. And I wish your mum would respect your wishes rather than expecting you to conform to what she wants/believes.

That whole social situation i can relate to so much. I struggle to talk to people, smile or even make eye contact. I've had several relationships mostly 2-4 years including one marriage that only lasted 6 months, but the last was just shy of 10 years. I've given the good years of my life to men who really didn't deserve it and wish i had done things differently. I was forced to stay in one of these relationships due to the person being well off and my mother wanted me to be set for life so to speak. My safety and happiness didn't matter to her cos it was all about the money. It was a horrific relationship to say the least. So whilst I'm not in your situation with culture, I do still understand what it's like to be forced into a relationship.

@ArraDreaming hello, hope you are doing ok. ❤️

Re: Best Friends Club

Hey @Oaktree how was your day

Re: Best Friends Club

@ArraDreaming

My day is going well. Slept in and then headed to the shops. Just chilling in front on the tv now. Got a piece of steak out of the freezer for dinner. Might have some baked potatoes with it.

@ArraDreaming how's your day been?

Re: Best Friends Club

@Gremlin24 it was ok, had better

Re: Best Friends Club

@Gremlin24 whenever I think about my mum getting potentially arrested after if I were to report her to the AFP since what she’s trying to do or aiming to do to me in the future is illegal here in Australia, I think about where else my younger sister (she has a low functioning disability) is gonna go to or who else is gonna be willing to support her 24/7 if my mum mostly would (or may not) be arrested, since my dad obviously can’t take care of her that much like my mum does. This is the only part I’m worried about and the only reason why I’m holding back on going to the legal route at this stage, and probably be only better off with her and I having mediation as the last resort for now.

I’m glad to know that you’re at least living in a comfortable life not having to worry about being in those kinds of relationships now.
By the way, just thought I’d ask a fun/random question that’s not at all related to this, but have you ever done a bachelors degree before? If so, what was it like studying a bachelors degree generally? 🙂
