Re: Best Friends Club
@Former-Member sorry to hear about the bullying you've faced by your teachers 😞 teachers in school can be a pain to deal with especially when they dont understand us
and that's great that you do colouring! I've been doing colouring as well but I only do that like a few times a year xP haven't been doing it for a while now and I should be getting back to it but I don't have the motivation or whatever to do that. :,)
btw I was thinking of getting gelato from the gelato store thats close to my student accomodation since I have a voucher that I can use to pay for 2 scoops of gelato before this Friday, I was thinking of going down to get it this evening after the temperature goes down but we'll see about that haha! Doesn't hurt to get gelato/ice cream during this extreme hot weather I guess :,)

Re: Best Friends Club
@Blackcloud teachers were definitely nasty to me and it affects me to this day. But anyway that's the past and i can't change what happened.
I love colouring and it's really what's been keeping me going aswell as having everyone here.
Ooohhh a gelato sounds yummy, but I'd definitely suggest waiting until the weather cools down a bit.

Re: Best Friends Club
Hey Bella @PeppyPatti
Not sure what happened in that post. I could see you started by recalling our early times. Then there was a mention of lies. It didn't add up .... I don't even know if it was dumb auto correct and not even you.
I just tried to text "hissy missies" to describe my 2 kittens meeting each other after being separated for 20 days. They were litter sisters but I could only get foster carer for one. Now I am back home and my son is home from hospital and we picked up 2nd kitten yesterday.
It's so weird it evolved this way. It reflects a little what my brothers and sister and I went through in the 1960s. Being farmed out and then back together but for us it was different amounts of years apart. I remember laying in bed at 12 trying to reassure younger sister at 8 but all she was thinking about was her foster sister. Mother made me diplomat to get the children back from the welfare. Somehow I never rated as a person for my self just doing what others wanted. I am slowly learning to hold my ground. My sister's foster experience was relatively good compared to the rest of us and a LOT richer than us. She was always torn between the 2 families. I accepted that but couldn't make our circumstances better than they were no matter how hard I worked or listened or tried to cheer her up. There was just too much complexity then and now.
Anyway don't worry about it. Peppi I always valued your presence.

@Arbie_wun @Former-Member @Blackcloud
Being bullied by teachers can be hard and yes long lasting.
Finding the things that help us bring out the best in ourselves.... Seems key.
Sending good vibes...

@Appleblossom just one of the lifelong traumas i have.
Colouring keeps me busy as do other crafts. Gotta try to find joy in little things.
Thankyou, sending those same good vibes to you aswell 🙂

Re: Best Friends Club
@Appleblossom thankfully I had some good teachers, unfortunately it was some of my classmates that were the problem. Worst of all is one that was a really good friend who unfortunately has an elitist persona due to the fact they were a prominent athlete with a local sports club and from a family with a strong name and presence in the community.
At one point this person was one of my best friends but as we finished our secondary education, they were one of the most prolific in the ridicule and bullying. When I played sport in the same team, they even developed a derogatory nickname which stuck with some people.
Years later I played with an opposing team and one of the young, entitled team members gave me a different derogatory nickname which several players thought was funny. It was demeaning and cruel but because the person was 'entitled' it seemed to be ok and nobody felt it was worth correcting.

Re: Best Friends Club
A family favourite is a recipe called best ever chocolate cake. It’s really easy to whip up and it’s delicious. It’s a double tiered moist chocolate cake with mocha frosting. Let me take a photo of the recipe for you. The cookbook is older than my children
