You could just simply say you don’t want the dessert and skip all the explanations. My friend is allergic to sulphites and can’t have any sugar because the sugar contains sulphites due to the way that it is processed. She makes her own food and takes it with her.

It's not about what I could've done or what I could do next time, if it was the physical side of things getting to me I wouldn't be here because even saying that will not eliminate the trigger that the entire situation is.
It's not the what, it's the why.

@Oaktree No still in the A-frame. What I mean by homeless that the A-frame is a stopgap. I can’t settle here, it was never intended to be permanent.
It’s just until this Family Court settlement has an end result.
Then I’ll reassess what I need to do.

@avant-garde I would have shuffled out the door as well.
I totally understand the Sulfur in booze reaction.
The cheaper the alcohol the worse it is.
Not anywhere as bad as your’s.
A neighbour’s Bargain Bin Rosè, one glass, I excused myself, just made it to my place, 5 metres away. Threw up 🤮 then pass out.
You poor thing. Hugs

18 months ago my church did an event and I had a pumpkin soup which is usually safe but I learned they used white wine instead of cream, I ended up in hospital

@Glisten I understand how you feel. I think you are incredibly strong and writing down why you are grateful is my go to as well.
I hope the family court settlement goes in your favour. I'm sorry if I missed this but is the settlement related to property?
Sending you 🫂 hugs xx
