@PeppyPatti what’s going on? What did you do to yourself?
Look at it this way. Hospital is a clean place to sleep and they feed you.
I’m flat out trying to rescue myself.

Hi @Mustang67
Well it seems like things are starting to turn in your favour. The change in medication will hopefully help you a lot. I do remember you mentioning the issue with foid getting stuck, so it must be a huge boost that there may be some relief coming for that soon after soooo long. The physio and the pain management seem to top off a list of things that should hopefully have you feeling much better soon... physically and mentally. A lot of early Christmas presents. 😃 Fingers crossed they all do the trick for you.
Hopefully you'll be posting that photo of your new addition to your wall very soon. Is there any word on that ring yet?
Look after yourself and always know we're here if you want to chat.

@MJG017 yes hopefully things work out for me. The surgeon did say that sometimes they have to do the procedure more than once. But fingers crossed one go will do the job.
I have been looking on the website for the ring, but it is not advertised as yet. I even emailed them, but they couldn't give me a date or confirm that they are producing one this year.
I cancelled my two workshops that I was going to do this years, as I want to concentrate on getting my back better and improving my quality of life. I am also going to try my best to start eating a lot healthier.
I have purchased a few coins recently to add to my growing collection.
Thoughts of giving up coin collecting crossed my mind last week, and that's when I realised I had to definitely change the medication back. Lol
I hope you are well 😊

Hey @Glisten @Oaktree @Mustang67 @MJG017 @Shaz51 @tyme @rav3n @Jynx @Ru-bee
I have resurfaced on the forums after a few full-on days and nights.
I've been manic for 10 days. Last Wednesday I saw two GPs and then the second one called the ambulance and I ended up in ED. ED is a triggering environment - lights on 24/7 and patients and staff talking all through the night. Not good if you're paranoid and anxious.
I left ED and then went AWOL. Tried to get admitted to a private hospital, forgetting that they don't have an ED.
Eventually my friend called my parents to come and pick me up off the street corner and take me home.
I mentioned last week that I'm in conflict with my carer. Yesterday he was very stubborn, refusing to even help me reach the laundry powder on the top shelf. (Because he didn't believe that I needed to have a break from him at PARC).
I was hoping for admission to PARC yesterday. I waited all day until after 5pm for the CATT team to visit. He said that they're short of doctors. No doctor on shift that day (yesterday) and likely none tomorrow (Tuesday). They will ring (on Tuesday, today) to offer an appointment for Medical Review on Wednesday. I've really struggle being home with my carers/parents, who are in denial about what would be best for my recovery, and that they sometimes make my mental state worse with this denial.
I made my case to the nurse about why PARC is the best place for me for the time being. But of course the doctor needs to see me before we can get the ball rolling.
I was given some good advice about how to manage my PRNs (I have 3) for optimal effect. I heeded that advice and so I am feeling a bit better rested and settled this morning. I slept 8 hours for the first time in two weeks!

Hi @Spirit_Healer I'm glad that you were able to get that helpful advice and you've noticed a difference with it. I hope all goes well with the phone call today to set up that appointment.
Good on you for being able to speak up about the support you need right now, I'm sure that wasn't easy.
Glad to see you back around the forums

Goodness me, you've been on a journey!! I'm sorry to hear that you got hit so hard and then have had to navigate finding the right support, would have been so much to have bouncing around in your brain!!
I hope the next steps run as smoothly as possible!! What are you doing with your wonderful self in the meantime? You in a 'keep busy' kinda mode or 'let's chill' kinda mode?
