It's a joke sometimes. I rarely spend anything on myself and when I spend $40 on myself I am "living beyond my means". Doesn't matter I spend my entire pension doing what others want me to do. I try to save but it always gets taken from me. I pay the most each fortnight that anyone in this house towards the cost of living. I could have my own house instead of nothing.

I'm glad your relationship with your MIL is getting better @Bubbles3. When I was married to my ex-hubby, I got on really well with my ex-MIL.
