Re: Anyone feel like chatting?

What kind of work do you do?
And studying medical/nursing something?

I’m still in hospital so I went to the shops to buy a pencil sharpener and came back and watched Jurassic park. I think I napped the rest of the day.

Re: Anyone feel like chatting?

Hey @outlander
Long time no speak hey.

Hey @Former-Member haven't met you before. Welcome

Re: Anyone feel like chatting?

Hi everyone. @outlander @Former-Member @Former-Member @MDT @greenpea @Former-Member

I've just done some last-minute shopping.

Decided to buy Curried egg sandwiches (on clearance).

I'm now happily munching them for my Dinner.

I know, I have sandwiches for lunch at work every single day (make them myself) - I get so sick of those.

Yet somehow it's different when someone else has made the sandwiches for me (the shop did).

Plus I don't ususually have curried egg, & it's nice.

Something different for my dinner....

Re: Anyone feel like chatting?

I work as a full time carer @Former-Member but I also have a small crochet business which im hoping to expand abit more in the coming months, and I also help at a few local events usually one day a weekend.
I am currently studying a dementia course but ive done various short courses in health.

oh I didn't know you were in hospital, is it for mental health? (perfectly ok to not tell me too)
I love jurrassic park! and jurrassic world as well!

Re: Anyone feel like chatting?

hows your day been @MDT

Re: Anyone feel like chatting?

@Adge its strange isn't is, food always tastes different then when we make it ourselves! ive often made things and then ordered it from a shop or even mum made it and its tasted different.

Re: Anyone feel like chatting?

Yeah it’s for mental health. I was in a public ward for 4.5 weeks and just finishing my first week in a private ward.
I’m not sure how I feel about it all really. I’m starting to feel like suicide was not the best idea, but now I don’t know what to replace it with.

Re: Anyone feel like chatting?

that is quite a long time @Former-Member but seems like it might be helping a littlee with changing your mindset?
when self harm and/or suicidal tendancies have been around for so long its hard to imagine what to do without them. I would say this is pretty normal. do you think chatting with the nurses or your other supports about what to do now would be helpful? like what ways would be good in moving forward?

Re: Anyone feel like chatting?

Yep, always tastes different (or nicer) when someone else has made it @outlander

Those curried egg sandwiches were so nice (all gone now).

There's nothing like Mum's Lemon Meringue pie - I have not had one of those in decades.
