Thanks for asking! It was going well enough till I took the son out for driving practice and he managed to scrape a very new very expensive car while doing some parking. His dad went off at me for taking him to a "real" carpark (one with other cars) and his little brother accused him of ...self-medicating ... beforehand, which he denies but now I feel I can't trust him and definitely scared of driving with him again. We left a note under the windscreen wipers so I'm just waiting for an angry call.
Hiw are you?

Oh dear @MavisMae
Driving lessons with children are tricky at the best of times.
I have a similar situation with my son, but he is cautious and responsible and stopped driving for about 9 months until his condition became stabilised.
But my other child had a dent on my car and was very casual about it.
Trust is important and I am finally learning it needs to be demonstrated that he is worthy of it. As I finally started getting "no nonsense" and putting out boundaries for my son ... with love and care ..he has been responding well and we are both happier.

It's good to know it happens to other parents! This sounds silly but what sorts of things are you changing boundaries on?

Glad you are a little better. @Kitten
Have you seen our Cats thread?
I am a cat person and often have mine curled up next to me while I am posting.
