Hey @Judi9877
Glad you have been getting into the Olympics. The whole spectacle has left me a bit cold, really. Not sure why. I mean, I absolutely admire and respect the participants. But anyway. Maybe the Paralympics will grab me a bit more.
Live sport is the best! I've not been to a netball game, but it must have been fun.
Too right that the Storm/Panthers game should be a cracker. I don't have an NRL team I follow, but those two teams are next level in that comp.
Anyway, good to see you around!
Keep sporting!!!

@Judi9877 I love your post, and lucky you getting to watch the Netball semis. Netball and Basketball are 2 games I love watching live.
Alas my Dockers didn't win this weekend but there's always next weekend!
I hope you have a great week 💓

My sharks have picked up their mojo again so looking forward to a mighty finish this season.
My sister just sent a text from Sydney airport to say that there are returning olympians everywhere and she has chatted with a few of them.

Hello @ENKELI @Glisten @Zoe7 @Eve7 @StuF @tyme and all sports lovers here. Thanks for replying to my post @ENKELI and others.
I did enjoy the Olympics with my housemate and I watching several sports over the period, including the Opals women’s basketball team match for bronze which was really good to watch. I also enjoyed watching the diving, water polo, swimming, triathlon and the marathons with all of the different scenery, including the bike races as well. The gymnastics was good too. I’m now looking forward to the Paralympic Games as I love how they are able to perform sports despite their varying disabilities which is really inspiring for me.
Last night, I managed to watch the Storm vs Panthers NRL game on TV after coming home from shopping and boy, was it stressful to watch! I can’t believe the end result came down to a penalty in the end with the Storm winning by 2 points. There were a few injuries with head injuries being several and the captain of the Panthers hurting his shoulder but it was a good game to watch. It looks like the Storm have won the minor premiership which is also good to hear. Hopefully they can go all the way and make it to the Grand Final and win it in October!
I’m now also getting myself ready for tomorrow night when the Brisbane Lions take on Collingwood with Brisbane being my AFL team with a hopefully Brisbane win. I’m not sure we have the capacity to win the Grand Final this year but I’d like to think positive and hopefully make it there again. If we do make it to the Grand Final, I’ll be watching it in the middle of the Pacific Ocean on the way to Queensland as I’ll be on a cruise which should be an interesting event as the cruise ship shows it up on the pool deck on a big screen. I’ve already got my supporter gear ready with a baseball hat and beanie in Brisbane Lions ready to wear for the game.
This weekend, the V8 Supercars are in Tasmania so I’m looking forward to seeing them race on on TV after watching the Darwin races earlier in the year as well as Townsville. I used to like the Holden racing team with Peter Brock, Craig Lowndes, Larry Perkins and Mark Scaife amongst other Holden drivers with the Bathurst 1000 being big in my family to watch each year. I did live near the racetrack at Sandown for a year where they also race but never went to see the race.
I hope your teams and sports players have a great weekend and win!
Judi9877☺️

Go the Lions!
Not my team, but my uncle's. And since they're playing the Pies...well, anyone but the Pies to win! lol
