Project Gutenberg is great... @Mazarita I havent been online long enough to use it much yet. I guess it will "save me" or "prevent me" from going to the library ....
I read many classics at uni and through 2nd hand bookshops and a little since ... my last push in reading was to read Australian literature which is a growing genre ...
The man Booker has just been anounced and it is by a Jamaican about Bob Marley and gangs and politics . .. something different but will be happy to last on the list at the library ...
I am gradually adapting to our tech world ... I follow through on most things ... just have to be careful not to try to do too much.... cheers

I am again grateful for the people on SANE forums .... it has been so long since I have experienced a sense of connectedness and not been rejected because of the extremes of my story. Glad to see you @Jacques ... not interrupting too much with you and @hiddenite ... still thinking of you both ... that lady has good taste ...

I gave my conductor a hug last night at rehearsal... he was not well but soldiering on too .. I called him a teddy bear.
They took up my suggestion and got him a chair for conducting .... but then a couple of hours into rehearsal he got antsy and starting carrying on asserting his authority ... but also admitted that he couldnt be too critical and bigoted for long ... so long as we admit we are adult and human .. its ok ... the pres likes to say that we are mere mortals and he is not ... but with all due respect ... I think that is crap ... respect does not really need pedestals.
I am grateful I can sing with good people.

Today I am grateful for my psychiatrist. We met this afternoon and talked about things in a practical engaged way. Have come away with some good suggestions and leads for additional help. I feel inspired to some extra action to help myself.

Hey @PeppiPatty
Glad you appreciate your hairdresser and wife. Sounds like you are happy with the new look. 🙂
To share more of the detail of today... some basic ideas came up like adding a weekly trip to the library to my routine and trying a bit harder to get to tai chi weekly too. I will also soon be seeing an additional therapist (psychologist) to treat addiction issues. That would be for a limited number of sessions under a mental health care plan. This needs to be organised by my GP who I will see next week. I'm also on a waiting list for a scheme where a mental health peer helps with recovery.
