Re: coping mechanisms

Hey there @Glisten  🙂

I really like your different strategies/activities for different needs/challenges 🌺☺️

I particularly like the visits to the Women’s Shed - I’ll be having a look to see if there’s one nearby…🙌🏻😀

Re: coping mechanisms

@Former-Member  I’m in WA, I think they started here. All the Women’s Sheds are  affiliated to a respective Men’s Shed.

Let me know if you find one in your area? 👍🏼

Re: coping mechanisms

Hey there @Glisten  ☺️

I found a close by men’s shed, however I couldn’t yet find any information about an associated women’s shed at that particular site. However, I did find some information about a women’s shed that Is unfortunately too far away for me to travel to.
I was planning to contact the local men’s shed to ask them if they might have more info 🙌🏻🙂

Any news, I’ll pop an update here ☺️

How’s it going over in WA? I have been to Perth, a few years back, and I thought it was a really lovely place 😀🌺

Re: coping mechanisms

@Former-Member  I’ve lived in NSW, QLD, VIC and WA

WA is the best place I have ever lived in.

Best beaches, whitest sand, prettiest native fauna and flora, incredibly well maintained national parks.

Re: coping mechanisms

Hey there @Glisten  😀

sounds lovely over there in WA 😎🌺

I’ve always loved watching sunsets over the ocean, and ever since I went to Perth, I’ve wanted to spend more time exploring WA 🙂

For now, health challenges keeps me planted in one spot, but if I could, I would! ☺️

How are you doing today, if it’s ok with you to ask? 🙂🌺

Re: coping mechanisms

Helping others is my go too for coping. It helps me refocus back to me when I get home.

Hey there @Lostat50 🙂

That sounds like a really nice way to remain grounded and with some healthy perspective, if I am reading your comment right? 😊

Re: coping mechanisms

Hello there @Appleblossom 🙂

Nice go-to's 🙌😊🌺

Thank you so much for the welcome! 😍 I do love bikes and physics.. I guess the two go hand in hand when it comes to riding 😉🙌

I have had some interesting experiences in life, most of them being the most rewarding when things took a little work to achieve... I guess that has moulded me over the years, and may indeed be why I like a bit of a challenge 🙂

However, I have less memory these days (related to illnesses) so I can't think as quickly as I once did. Having said that, I tend to stay the course with most things 🌺

Are there any topics you find particularly interesting, that you feel comfortable to chat about?🙂

I always think that once a rider, always a rider hehe! 🏍
