You are incredibly brave.....
you never gave up your love for your siblings and desperately sought love that should have been yours from your mum
you are now a mum yourself and will be the best mum for your own child..
I sincerely wish you peace..serenity and so many special moments in your life moving forward...
Please do not for one moment ever blame yourself.....
you are amongst people who care and will support you on these forums...
you have a gift for writing also

yes @Silenus
we must learn to forgive and love ourselves....
the growing self awareness...patience..compassion follows..
then we can project calm..inner strength...inner peace...
we can help ourselves and others to find a sense of belonging ...
love your writing ...

hello @Silenus
your childhood appears to be on a parallel of that of my older son...
father son relationship between the two was more about intense love hate...
they could not communicate in any shape or form...yet could not be apart from one another for too long...
The contrast with my son's relationship with myself, his mum was extreme....I have and never will give up or stop loving my son...
I hope that you have a strong relationship with your mum...

hi @Former-Member,
to be honest it was a task set by my psych to write an honest letter to my mother even if she never sees it. I didnt realise till about halfway through it read like a poem

hello @NameUnknown
thank you for your response...
a good idea from your psych...
she does not need to see it...
I had been told the same re unresolved issues in the past with my family...
my effort read nothing like yours..
there are so many feelings that come through when I read your words...you would have many feelings..
it reminded me of a poem that I wrote to my first psychiatrist during my first hospital stay.... whilst he was away overseas for a long period......the style of questioning after phrasing each feeling...
I hope that you keep on expressing yourself through writing...painting...drawing...creativity...
