Re: Writing As A Form Of Therapy

Been a bit of a wild ride in the month of May, @Silenus, with an intense (wonderful and at times very difficult) visit from interstate mum, rental flat we live in possibly being sold soon, companion's job hanging in the balance. But there's been other stuff happening too that's been great: overseas screenings of my videos. Creativity going on most of the time, regardless of all else. That's the main event for my sense of meaning in life, so going well there. @eth has been around visiting occasionally too. I know she'll also be glad to know you are around, though she has very limited access to the forum at the moment. I think she is reading though. Sending warm virtual hugs to you both!

Re: Writing As A Form Of Therapy

Oh ... up and down @Silenus .... 😏

No resolution to our situation yet, so things are winding tighter .... but it's a roller coaster because WH is taking us on highs as well as his behaviour and mindset causing lows .... like extensive travel experiences experiences, and trying to make up for his absences by creating family time around movies n stuff .... all punctuated with his control issues and rigid daily regimen.

Tis what it is for now, and we are still managing to hold things together ..... just, at times.

Glad to hear your news ... and about your work ....

💕

The mystic looked back to see his past footprints in the sand, stretching off into the distance... looking forward, the mystic saw the blank canvas of dunes stretching off into the distance, ready to accept future steps... looking down, the mystic saw his feet... there was the truth of the present revealed... not footprints in the sand, not sand waiting for footprints... just feet...

Re: Writing As A Form Of Therapy

Sounds like quite the merry jig around the May pole, @Mazarita.

I've been staying with my daddy-o whilst I've been working (I work one week on-site and one week from home, then repeat). So yeah, I kind of think I know what you mean about the wonderful and at times very difficult flavour of intense... hahaha... hope it's been great for you though.

Fingers crossed with house and job. Those are not the kind of stresses that you need in your life. Sending my happy vibes into the aether in the hopes that they rub a random buddha's belly somewhere and result in good luck being showered down upon you.

Hooray on the overseas screening. A huge congrats on that front. It's great to hear that the creativity is firing! Woot woot!!!

Re: Writing As A Form Of Therapy

Hang in there @Faith-and-Hope. There is so much joy, warmth, love and laughter to be had from those little family times that we create. To me, they are just about the most important things that exist.

Sending de-stressing ommmmmmmmm vibes your way, and of course a big old hug as always.

Re: Writing As A Form Of Therapy

Leaving a big "Hiya!!!" for @eth. Many hugs and happy vibes beaming your way. 🙂 🙂

Re: Writing As A Form Of Therapy

I guess you could say that me getting back into my professional career of writing for a living is definitely Writing As A Form Of Therapy...

I must say... it's like falling off a bicycle... once you do it, you never forget how... hahaha...

All jokes aside, I must say that it was very heartening to find that even with an absence of 6 years, I managed to hit the ground running and get right back into learning lots of new and complex concepts quickly, and then be able to write about them in a way that the target audience understands and finds useful. Happy days...
