Re: Writing As A Form Of Therapy

My latest poem... it was fun to write...

A Glass of Wine
---------------------------

[Imagine the voice of Rorschach]

"I'll have a glass of wine barkeep."
[Barkeep pours glass of wine]
"There you are sir."
[Looks at glass]
"I said a glass of wine. Keep pouring."
"Responsible Service of Alcohol says standard drink measures..."
"Keep pouring."
"Yes sir."
[Pours wine to just under the lip of the glass]
"There you are sir."
[Looks at glass]
"I said a glass of wine. Keep pouring."
"But sir..."
"Keep pouring."
[Pours wine to the lip of the glass]
"There you are sir."
[Looks at glass]
"I said a glass of wine. Keep pouring."
"But sir..."
"Meniscus!"

Yo me hearties ..... ❣

FRIENDS ABOUND - YOUR BOUNTY

Tis weather fine, due west ....

'ere true to test ....

which way the vane doth beckon ?

T'ward the light I reckon .... !

Set your sails ....

company hails ....

bring that wreck on

ashore to find

the Beer Garden keeps your wine !

🍷

Hahaha... love it @Faith-and-Hope 🙂 🙂

If a man as conflicted as me can imagine peace, there is still hope for the human race...

Re: Writing As A Form Of Therapy

Mind fart... hahaha...

Here's the real trap of perfectionism... we try to perfect our way of dealing with perfectionism...

Giggle... it's good to laugh at ourselves sometimes... it stops us taking our selves too seriously...

Hmmm... for me, I think interaction and feedback, discussion and sharing is great... it enhances my quality and understanding of life... this connection... new points of view... that's why I prefer interactive media with an engaged audience...

Together on this world stage we perform... learning when to read the autocue and when to just improvise...

The joys of bipolar? Motherf****r won't ever spit it realer than me...

When I look into the eyes of an old dog who is about to pass, I always say the same thing... it has been an honour... thank you for welcoming me into your pack...

It is an honour to walk with you all in this life journey, roaming the pathless land that is truth...

Insight be with you...

There is no measurement when you are in a meditative state... you don't even know that you are in a meditative state, for that would be your self, getting in the way and trying to measure things again... meditation is your complete presence in the timeless now moment, somewhere beyond letting go and holding on...

Re: Writing As A Form Of Therapy

The classic imaginings of fiery hells are actually birth memories... all life is made of star stuff... the atoms that make you up, and all the elements that combine, were born in the fiery heart of a star...

Re: Writing As A Form Of Therapy

When you own something, rarely do you realise that the thing is actually owning you... you don't want to lose the thing or damage the thing or have the thing stolen, and so the thing owns you...

Re: Writing As A Form Of Therapy

Brain fart...

Offering advice to a person who takes it as a personal insult rather than an opportunity to learn is like slathering your privates in honey and flat-bagging an ant nest...

I do actually write stuff that is not inspired by current or past events...

I am a fabulist... I imagine things for a living...

The coastline of mainland Australia stretches about 30,000 kilometres... the population of Australia is currently estimated to be 24.3 million people... so... you want to protect your borders? Go and stand at the coast and hold hands with your neighbour and form a human fence... there will be one metre and 23 centimetres between each person... now... erm... anyhoo.. that was an effort to try and highlight how stupid the concept of borders is... I invite you all to inspect the truth in your own way...

Re: Writing As A Form Of Therapy

Brain fart...

In the very moment we move away from our universal connection with all of existence, we are trapped in the world where there is an us and a them... and so we come to conflict and violence, for us is not them...

Look at the truth of this now within yourself... it is the source of every war and conflict throughout the history of mankind, and it continues to spread great suffering throughout this world that us simple flawed humans have created, in order to protect us from "them"...

Better to detach your "self" from the whole concept of self... oh my... what wonders await "you" when self becomes selfless...

I wonder if anyone cares about evolution of self, or if perhaps you are just happy being you, standing still until the day you die? Evolution of self requires a very difficult climb up the ladder, and staying the same is the comfortable and lazy option of you slouching on the couch in your underwear, never questioning anything but when to change your underwear... surely you are more than this... so... evolve...

Rushing about... there is the source of so very many of our rushed problems...

Slow down... think... and finally realise that you have the power to move beyond the realm of thought...

Time is not what you think it is...

Once you feel this universal connection with all of existence, you will never do anything bad or violent, for the things you do to another, you do to yourself...

I live a constantly fierce existence within the confines of my skull... sometimes, that spills out and adversely affects those around me...

What if we cannot save the Great Barrier Reef because of bleaching caused by rising sea temperatures and stuff? What if instead we seeded new coral reefs further south? Marine biologists... can this be done...

There are entire worlds that you or I know nothing about... forget distant planets or parallel universes... every single person alive has a different perspective, a different reality, a different world view, a different world that they live in... try to be a bridge-builder, an explorer, joining worlds... the views are truly amazing when you see a brief glimpse of another person's world in all its individual majesty...

Intelligent people lie... in my opinion, it is better to strive to be dumb...

Never spit on your enemy after you have killed them... it leaves DNA...

Don't try to find sense in suicide... there is no sense or reason to it... only those who find sense in suicide commit suicide... be thankful everyone doesn't find that same nonsensical sense, for otherwise we would all commit mass suicide together... then there would be nobody left to have this conversation...

[Of life] This shit's a breeze once you got decades of pain under your belt...

Compassion... it seems like such a high and complicated ideal... but really it's just strapping a pair of electrodes to your balls and feeling someone else's pain...

Pain teaches us compassion... for that one thing alone, ever and always it is worth it...
