Re: We've got your back

Definitely @Shaz51 don't just write it off as being part of the CKD. Maybe you need to have someone else on your team to help with it, not just your kidney specialist.

Re: We've got your back

Very true @Dimity , was going to try and make a appointment for next week but ran out of time and forgot

@Jynx , @Blackbird11

Re: We've got your back

I think it's likely that it's all inter-related @Shaz51 because that's how our bodies are! Hopefully a specialist can help you narrow it down and give you some stuff to try, be it stretches/exercises or medication or something. Fingers crossed for you 🤞💜

Re: We've got your back

Ive woken up in a lot of pain today. After the appointment with the pain specialist and what was said in regards to having to reduce pain killers before I can get the spinal cord stimulator Ive been doing my best to cut back on my pain killers. Ive been doing ok, not fun but today its really painful. I have my GP today and will get more pain killers today as Ive run out as well.

My legs are sore today, Ive been up doing a fair bit more lately so the pitting oedema is worse. I have started with compression sock things and they help a lot. My shoulders are playing up a heap today as well, they have been getting worse over past few days. Not much I can do about that, I have to do some more research into it but as its rare, it seems like there is limited info on the condition.

Physio starts 3/1/24 (seriously 2024 already). Im keen but pretty nervous as well. Im doing more and coping but past experience with physio isnt exactly overwhelmingly great.

I got the new Samsung Watch 6 Classic and set it up yesterday, hopefully that will give me more insight into things I can monitor at home with the watch. I had an old one but it had some limitations and the battery was going. On a plan it cost me a couple $$ more a month than what I was spending and the old watch plan had finished a couple weeks ago. I really wish they would let you know when they finished not just finish and nothing said.

Re: We've got your back

Good luck with your physio @ClockFace I had bad luck with one 15 years ago but am really happy with them in last couple years.

@Shaz51 @Dimity @Blackbird11 @Jynx Yep love my osteo too.  Need both.

@Patchworks I do some stretches in my bed.  There are some youtube clips that suggest it is a good start.  I really need the firmness of the floor to do some of the other stretches and exercises, to get the full benefit.

Re: We've got your back

Happy Christnas, hope it's painfree @Appleblossom @ClockFace @Jynx @Shaz51 @tyme @Emelia8 @Patchworks @Owlunar2 and everyone

Many thanks for your support and advice, it's helped a lot

Re: We've got your back

Merry Christmas all!

Re: We've got your back

Hope you're going OK @ClockFace @Shaz51 @Emelia8.

@Appleblossom @Patchworks I unearthed my old yoga mat which has helped. I'm doing well. I've mostly persevered (11/14 days) and the exercises aren't quite as excruciating.

Re: We've got your back

Well done @Dimity 😊

It gives some encouragement to continue when we can see or feel some improvement. No matter how small.

I am doing okay too thanks. Got my weekly pilates class today. Its conducted by my physiotherapist. Max of 4 people,  but usually only 2. So its very individualised,  which is good.

I have a few weeks off from my usual weekly hydrotherapy,  while the pool is closed for repairs. I miss it.

Anyway keep up the good work @Dimity . Progress may seem slow,  but its worth the effort.

Hi @Patchworks @ClockFace @Appleblossom @Jynx @Shaz51 🌷

Re: We've got your back

I been on the floor for stretches this morning. @Emelia8 @Dimity Lovely Ladies

Gotta get on that floor every day Apple.  Eye roll ...

Had a few days off bingewatching sbs for the holidays.
