I just got back from my walk. I went uphill and around the big block. Took me about half an hour. I struggled today with some backache but I still managed my walk. I think my back hurts because of my weight so I really need to push through and keep walking.
So pleased you are all moving whether it’s walking or some other movement. Moving is what counts! Good on you all for getting off the couch!!!
So glad that we reactivated this thread. Hopefully we can keep up the momentum.

Hey everyone, I have tagged everyone that has ever contributed to this thread plus one or two others.
My report for the day is that I walked this afternoon. I got back before it rained on me! Yay winning!!! I walked around and through the park. It was a nice relaxing and peaceful walk. There were footy players on the oval as I walked past and I couldn’t help but think how fit the ref must be with all the running he was doing. So far I have been successful in my goal to walk everyday. I am not beating any land speed records but I am happy just to be out there walking right now. It’s better than just sitting around which is what I was doing before.
What exercise have you guys been doing? It doesn’t have to be walking for you to report here. Let’s help motivate each other!
much love,
Meggle

Well done @Oaktree that is an awesome achievement!
I had a ride on my exercise bike which is about all I can do while recovering from ankle surgery.
My bike is set up outside on the back patio where the sun shines in the morning. In the afternoon I sit out the front with my book.
Love to everyone

Hi @Eve7
Cycling sounds great. I hope you recover quickly from your surgery. It’s nice to be in the sunshine. I am hoping for sunnier weather for the next couple of days. I think it’s going to be fine till Wednesday but I think it’s going to be a bit windy.
What book are you reading? Right now I am in book two of The Wheel of Time.

I am reading Miriam. It’s a bout a young woman whose parents survived the Holocaust @Oaktree
I just finished I am Malala which is about a young Muslim girl so now I’m reading about a Jewish family. Both intriguing books.

Oh that’s so multicultural of you @Eve7
I think that comes from being an Aussie. Most of us are interested in a range of different cultures. I just read - The Island of The Missing Trees - it was about a Turkish Cypriot and a Greek Cypriot falling in love during the civil war there in the mid 70’s. It also encompasses some time in the 2000’-2010’s. I loved it. It was a fabulous read but it took a little getting used to because in some chapters the fig tree talked. I started to look forward to hearing from the fig tree even though it was a bit odd at first m.
