Hey there,

well done with the weeds.

I am behind with my jobs.

Sold raffle tickets for the RSL tonight. I just joined

Re: The magic of tidying

I hope joining the RSL means connecting with your tribe and it's not triggering @Oaktree . Well done for selling raffle tickets. My dad and grandfather were veterans.

Today I cleared and cleaned the bench again although you wouldn’t know it now. Then I cleared and cleaned on top of the tv. I moved a few things off the dining room table but I didn’t finish that job.

Re: The magic of tidying

Well done @Oaktree . I cleaned and tidied and gardened and shopped but I'm just treading water, not moving forward it seems.

My vacuum cleaner clogged and I thought it was terminal - I couldn't shift the obstruction with a broom handle until I ran water into the tube to soften it. Felt quite chuffed that I'd fixed it.

We shopped too. Got things for Christmas day so we don’t have to go to the shops when they are crazy right before Christmas

Re: The magic of tidying

@Oaktree I shop at Woolies and there are still shortages after the warehouse strike.  And no eggs which is probably the aftermath of the bird flu. I'll have to shop again for salad stuff.

Re: The magic of tidying

Starting Boxing Day I've averaged 3 hours per day working in the house and garden, interspersed with breaks. It feels a big effort but it's not enough to make the difference I want. My deadline is now four weeks away.

Yay way to go!

Well done on your continued efforts.

I am feeling overwhelmed, we have to move everything around as we are having workmen come in to replace the ceiling in the kitchen/dining/activity rooms. We have so much stuff…

Also all the washing baskets have to go in the spare room so the laundry doesn’t get dusty.

Re: The magic of tidying

Oh hugs 🫂 @Oaktree that seems a huge task. Do you have to clear the rooms? Otherwise provided there's room for ladders etc can you cover things with sheets?

I'm still counting down to my hospital procedure and trying to straighten things. I had to be assessed before I can start home help and they said the place was "a little cluttered". They're fixing my smoke alarm tomorrow and I'm debating whether to shift stuff for easier access ( I have a line-up of boxes in the hallway).
