@Glisten- I can relate, I had no idea what I was going through either.  It is devastating when you dont even have the words for it.  That is why I am here.  The awakening happened for me when I was on twitter (before space Karen took over, when it was actually working), there was a hashtag #narcissisticabuse and it was amazing.  Unfortunately the algorithm does not work anymore.

It is how they maintain their power over you:

I did this with my abuser recently, trying to appeal to their conscience when they dont have one.  It blew up in my face.

“No matter what spiritual philosophies or beliefs about manifestation you possess, never tolerate abuse. Abuse is unholy. It is a perversion of any kind of divinity. At the end of the day believe whatever you want but do not ever use it to think you should tolerate abuse ever.” - Shahida Arabi

Abusers deflate your dreams, aspirations, goals and/or accomplishments. This is due to their pathological envy and need to control you. Narcissists don't want you to have validation, support and confidence outside of them. – Shahida Arabi

If only I took this advice a week ago:

"You don’t have to clarify NOTHING to a narcissist. They’re going to go ahead and believe whatever they want! They’re dedicated to misunderstanding you. That is their TRUE intention."

@GlistenI have been collecting psychoeducation for years, it has kept me sane through everything.  But I always fear I could regress at any moment, and fall into a trap.  Then I read that people who get manipulated the most are ones who think they can never be manipulated.  I have so much more to share 💕  I am so glad you find this validating.
