Re: The Challenges of Mental Health Wellbeing
I am very glad you can ring your psych, if it gets strong do you think you could give her a ring? even just a chat over the phone might help...
And a good safety plan too. Lets hope this cycle is a quick one and you can come back up before too long.
Do you know whats set these thoughts off at all?

Re: The Challenges of Mental Health Wellbeing
It's mostly you and @outlander
that carry me through over the last few months. I often imagine us sometime in the future when life is better for all of us, and we meet finally. We sit around drinking tea and coffee all night, eating mint slice biscuits and laughing & crying at this horrible time. I think that keeps me moving forward as well, that somehow, some way there might be a chance of meeting. And we'll be saying to each other 'wow, you're really tall @outlander
and you're so different, in a good way, than I imagined'.

Re: The Challenges of Mental Health Wellbeing
Indeed I am @outlander
Thanks for that. Then that all nighter might turn into an all weekend, and we might need two packets of biscuits.

Re: The Challenges of Mental Health Wellbeing
I missed a post @outlander
What sets these thoughts off is changes in my support people. I don't cope with it at all.
As a welfare kid, I constantly had welfare officers, social workers, etc come and go so frequently that I was constantly repeating myself. And starting the cycle of connecting, trusting, etc every time. It's really hard, and I'm so affected by that now. I've been really teary today, and a little yesterday too. I know to some people I might come across as too dramatic, but it really feels like at times my world is ending.
And I've not been in this space of not knowing where to next? I've always had direction, and like you say 'I'm stuck in a vacuum hole that wipes everything good out'.
Not being able to have any real idea of where my life is heading sucks so much.

Re: The Challenges of Mental Health Wellbeing
I react exactly the same way with losing support people @Sans911 and I could have written that exact post with the exception of childhood experiences. I’m about to have huge changes too with my treatment and care plan. It’s scaring the crap out of me and I’m experiencing lots of out of the blue strong s urges from nowhere but I’m in control of them for now.
Hi @outlander, @Snowie 👋.

Re: The Challenges of Mental Health Wellbeing
Do you think for tonight at least you can just accept that you don't need to know all the answers right now but rather work on getting through tonight ?

Re: The Challenges of Mental Health Wellbeing
Oh, I thought I read somewhere in here that you were tall @outlander
Oh well, we are both short arses then. Yes, I have a little step to reach the top of my wardrobe and other cupboards. 😄I'm about 5 foot nothing! And very round!
I don't know if @Snowie
is short or tall, slim or otherwise. I know I'll never be slender, so I just try to stay healthy as I can. I like my sweet foods way too much to ever give them up.
