Re: Never being in a relationship
Yes, but dad just invalidates how I feel and mum has admitted she doesn't know what to do anymore.

Fair enough @TheRenegade345 , at least you have tried.
Do you have people from work you can call and contact for some social connection?

Re: Never being in a relationship
Can you reframe your last statement? @TheRenegade345 That is, "People have lives...."

@TheRenegade345 , Have you done any work around reframing before?

Re: Never being in a relationship
They are always telling me about all the social stuff they get up to. One has just returned from LA, another is going to Sydney, another is going to New Zealand. I am just sitting in bed. I know what you mean but they are literally doing things that make it hard to organise stuff.

Re: Never being in a relationship
I have spent all of yesterday lying in bed and staring at the ceiling and doing something that I cant say here. I am not living. I wish people would stop undermining how I feel. People I know are getting married, having kids, traveling the world literally right now. Whereas I cant get out of bed and have fallen back into bad habits. How can I reframe that when I am telling the truth?

Re: Never being in a relationship
I havent had any physical touch or intimacy for over 5 years, I keep getting my feelings invalidated and dismissed, I have no way of expressing how I feel apart from "you just have to accept that you will die alone and no one will ever love you". I am done trying to validate myself everyday. I dont have any energy anymore to do so. I have nothing left in the tank and I want to end it all. Please stop invalidating how I feel.

Re: Never being in a relationship
I'm sorry you feel I'm invalidating how you feel. I don't think it's about trying harder but trying something differently.
If you feel it better I stop connecting with you in case I'm 'invalidating' you, say the word and I'll let it be.
From what I see, you've got so much to give and offer.
We can't help you if you are 'stuck' in this train of thought.
And no, reframing doesn't mean you lie to yourself.
All the best mate.
