Re: Living with Ourselves
It definitely adds a fair bit of weight onto the handle bars @outlander lol
Once you get used to it though it gets easier to manoeuvre I'll try to get a picture ofhim one of these days when it clears up outside a bit...

Re: Living with Ourselves
I had a couple of really big afternoon rests. Sought support from some friends. Went for a drive. Caught up with my folks... Took it easy... I'm not a fan of long weekends... Did some comfort eating... I been sleeping lots lately, probably over sleeping in fact...
What about you? Are you glad it's over?

Re: Living with Ourselves
Hi @Sophia1 How has your day been? I managed to get some washing done and tidy up the kitchen a little bit. Tomorrow is a big day for me with lots of appointments.

Re: Living with Ourselves
Thanks for your message earlier today, @Sophia1. Sorry you have had insomnia for so long. It's possible my sleep disorder relates to trauma too. Was talking with my friend about some of that tonight, childhood mostly. And other stuff where I've traumatised myself really. So true about recognising I agreed to the meds change makes a huge difference. I still like to have a whinge about the side effects but essentially I am positive in my mind about the process. To answer your questions about video-making, I am pretty much always doing one project or another. It's been that way for more than a decade. Even when I was sleeping 20 hours a day for a long period, those other hours were often spent in creative activity (kind of manic with it too). I can't really describe the process of what I do too much for reasons of anonymity. But I can tell you it's all done on the computer, and that it's a bit 'out there'. Certainly not to everyone's taste, but some people in real life like what I do. I think it's great that you've got this thread for this recovery time for you. It's such a long process because of the nature of what you've been through with it. It seems so helpful to have this outlet for expressing what you are going through now. Always hoping a speedy recovery for you.

Re: Living with Ourselves
Hi @Sophia1
I am still watching the night skies - I have been doing this for over 25 years and it's amazing to think I have been doing this for so long
It has meant often getting up before dawn on icy mornings when the frost nips at me and I love those mornings when the sky is full of stars and sometimes planets and even the moon -
Then there are the hot summer nights when everyone is outside and get interested in what I am looking at with my binoculars -
And then there have been weeks on end with bad weather or just cloud and I don't see anything - and then there was one bad time when several planets were rising close together and we had bushfires and the sky was smoky and that was disappointing for me - disastrous for many
But yes - I am still doing it - atm it is interesting - Venus is in the west-nor-west sky in the evenings and Jupiter is already high in the sky early in the evening - followed by the star Antares, Mars and Saturn. but tonight it is raining
The next time I post something there I'll tag you and hope you can stay in the mindset - I am pretty committed but still there are times when I fail to follow it up - bad weather can affect me badly in winter

Re: Living with Ourselves
good morning @Owlunar
wow I admire your commitment to your interest....
my commitments are always tested by my mind struggles...as most on here will attest to when dealing with any long term mind issues...
It makes me sad that I have missed out on so much over my isolating period....I could have seen some glorious sunrises and stunning starry nights....the isolation is brought about by downslide of depression ...is the nature of the beast...
I am going to tell myself today though....it is never too late....I shall set the times on my mobile and check for stars tonight...my mind at present won't allow me to look for specific stars...I can however enjoy the feeling that such beauty of nature in the broadest sense is there for me to experience...
thank you for the offer of tagging me....makes me teary shucks....being remembered or something...well it is lovely anyway..xxx
