Re: Living with Ourselves

Hello my friend @Jacques

You are spot on with your comment that time definitely does not heal all wounds..

Possibly emerged from some greeting card company...

Those cards that write such fluffy sentiments..

Yes was rather amusing our offsiders falling asleep on us on New Year's Eve...

Do you think that they were bored???

No I don't think so ...tired...

in our case we were both tired of the whole year that was departing...

I rather enjoyed the quiet and calm...

I enjoyed my book..

Do you like reading Jacques?

Have you finished your bike now?

write when you can

Re: Living with Ourselves

Hi @Sophia1 yes i agree about the cards, i always find i buy blank cards and write my own things in them, it makes it a little more personal.

no i don't think they where bored on new years, i think christmas, boxing day and the week it is just exhausting and by the time new years comes around it was time for a snooze.

yes i do read, i love non-fiction history books, technology books and things of that nature, i have read a few fiction books like the lion the witch and the wardrobe, and dan brown.

i have not been able to read for the past few years, because i treally struggle with motivation, focus and am easily distracted. i know my mental health has slipped a little over the past few years. i think this is the cause.

i had to put the motorbike on hold as i am havingto put solar panels in because of the massive power price hike comming in nsw. so the bike has gone back under the cover. i hope to finish it this year.

Re: Living with Ourselves

Gentle hugs @Sophia1 re your son.

I was so glad you could support @Jacques  when he felt silenced.

Jacques I never realised you were also effected by the particular culture and death of that prominent person non gratis.  You were so young. It should never have happened, as well as the confusing feelings of not being heard.  Virtual hugs to you too.

Re: Living with Ourselves

The boss.   Hi there.    How can we learn with out an explanation.    Actually I'm just curious.      What does this mean and what does it pertain to.      In good faith tonys..

Re: Living with Ourselves

Hello there @Sophia1   Sorry for late reply ,  but i just havnt been able to focus on anything.

I keep checking the door to see if someones scrawled   "plague"  on it.   On some new pills that  wont cure me.  Just make being crook fun..

How are you going my friend.  I  always worry when i write to people.  Are they   , up,   down,   or just...  linear.    I  guess thats the human chain...      We are all custodians of each others hearts,

as well as our own.

Paper work problems.    Mate i hear you.     My     "filling cabinet"     used to sit right next to my dunny.     That is until  the tax office  sent troops.    When you don't file a return,  you get

more scared to file one the next year,  and then the whole thing feeds on its self.  Suddenly your rolling over in bed every morning and John Howards next to you with hand cuffs and a grin.   Any way lucky for me ,  Labour got in and they had an amnesty   for irresponsible fools like me.   The aftermath....     I  put an add in the grocery store for a book keeper.

Yes every one is pulling their weight except me and we have a record crop even after the hail.    The gods have blessed me with perfect weather this year  was able to up the rate for the pickers and  ...   Get some  flashy new boots .

I do hope a star guides you through the ..........   No wait a minut   ...   this is Sophia I'm writing to.    She always crawls out of life's  trenches and fights her way to victory.   Your my beacon mate....  mum of the year,  remember.        You're  in my prayers mate..

Any way  the book keeper sauntered in with my favourite piece of the pie..   A whole crisp steaming crust and I just couldnt go near it.

I must be crook .  so I'll fade off.     Take good care my friend.

Re: Living with Ourselves

Hello @tonys

I was not quite sure what you were asking with your first brief message.

I was very worried about you knowing that you had that serious infection.

I do hope that you are still having a nurse visit regularly whether you like her or not laugh..

I will reply separately to your next message

your friend

Sophia 1

sending you a big hug...

I am sure that I can round up several of your friends if need be for a group hug...

Sometimes the single hug is what is needed at the time.

Friends need hugs and I always value the ones I receive in real life from a few of my friends whom I still see..

Re: Living with Ourselves

Well my dear friend @tonys

I can't tell you how relieved I was to receive your last message reassuring me that you are safe if not completely well physically..

You never need be concerned about trying to know whether how the person you are writing to is feeling.

That my friend is impossible for even the person themselves to know often..

This style of writing and never meeting the person also has it's limitations as we all know..

You write from the heart and your message is always out of concern or care complete with great cheer.

Your words always warm my heart as you write as "you."

That is one of my values Tonys and I know that some people feel that i write too deeply ...

I write as me...

I do need to remind myself to step back sometimes...submerge that submarine..

By the way I borrowed it again over the last few days....I needed to hide from the world..

I thought I might redecorate it inside...

what do you think?

what are your favourite colours?

Tax......hmmm I once went four years without putting in a return and just went to a tax agent and said this is the last one I did?

Thankfully he had a sense of humour and told me that I had not lodged one for four years and should not be going to jail just yet. I was owed money so that was a positive outcome..

Now I know why you have a bookkeeper which I thought was very sensible anyway...

You have enough on your plate running a farm...

checking on workers..

as for your four legged animals and feathered friends they keep you on your toes literally.

Have you any shoes left?

I am assuming that Swamp is shaggy in coat..

I have always wanted an Irish wolfhound but my first and now second husband are both very firm with the No.....not happening...

I have just read back over your message and noticed "flashy new boots"  a definite...

barter- 2 pairs for the price of one...

Yes I don't know if there is a star that would match my life laugh...

I do climb out..out of life...out of the darkness...out of the mess...

I cannot go into situation with horrid hospital and one of my offspring for fear of someone reading it..

I stand by my rights though..

The lion has roared and is protecting her cub...allowing said cub independence; dignity and respect that every human being deserves...

Oh bless your bookkeeper...

A character out of Charles Dickens indeed...

Is the pie savoury or sweet?

Whatever, home made pies are scrumptious..

Remember to eat the crust first laugh..

Can you freeze the pie...?

cut in pieces and freeze..?

Please look after you first...

Your friends can wait for your letters..

You have explained and have just reason..

Submarine still in use but above water today.

might look for decorations..

take care

Sophia1

another big hug

Re: Living with Ourselves

Hey there @Sophia1 .    Thanks for big thoughtful hugs mate ,  and asking how I am.   Just do me a favour.   Check in the morning for spots,   goo leaking out of ears and no bits and pieces of yourself have fallen off.   Call me crazy ,  but  viruses ,  computers,   the cloud,   well  Ok

I did not top the class in science but      In my world  ,  if I think It up, .....   well ,   just check.

How are you anyway mate,    I  hope your many challenges can some how be apportioned between a few much needed helpers.   No one person can  can  win a battle on their own unless they can sustain irreparable  damage over extended time.  Trust me,  thats no way to live life.

You are smart but......    Its a rubrics cube,   Some times in the face of odds I just Peel all those Little stickers off and stick em back  on...     Yes when all options are exhausted.    I work outside the square,  bend ,   break ,   reinvent the rules,    or just dump the whole plie in someone else's  lap ,   take a 3 week snooze ,  and worry about facing the music when I crawl on back.   In a hundred years,  no one will remember or care.

Any way ,  doc says I've got   digoxin or diltiazem  poisoning along with a smorgasbord off other ailments....  He means well ,  but its useless talking science to me while I'm trying to watch  Bugs Bunny..!       The area nurse loves coming here.   She says I don't have to worry about confidentiality because no one would ever believe her.   She calls my place  the outer limits.

You  need to watch your health to mate.   I'm  big  I can take a hit..    You are little and ....  just make sure you put more into you than what life takes out.

Any way nurse will be mentioned in my will as she had in her possession,  and has most kindly lent to me ,  Mister Ed ,  the talking horse,  Hurts when i laugh. ...   I am in for a painful night

Take care Sophia ,   Take the sub out for a spin ,  but no burn outs or donuts.

Kindest wishes friend.          tonys  moon base one

Re: Living with Ourselves

@Sophia1   HEY  mate was just about to eject  and saw you just launched another Poseidon missile.    Yes by all means  redecorate the interior of the sub.   No wall paper near the the reactor,   Dont want crew distracted while juggling plutonium rods.    As for the colour palate,

Well I'm  looking in the bucket next to the bed for ideas and there are just too many choices..!

You better decide.    We  don't  want it looking  like  a 3 am  prom night disco  do we..

Now  when my sense of humour runs amuck ,  the book keeper gives me a good old fashioned    going over  with the wooden spoon.     Sorry ..

Any way the book keeper is Austrian or German I think,   she wont tell me,,   but you name  it and she can bake it.     She  even  bumps off a chook when poultry is on the menu.   I'm  just the plucker.  She  is staying over for the picking season,  but  between you and me I think  she needs  a break from her home life.  I  don't ask,   Think that may have been a bit of the reason the house  got  the big  clean up while  I was in the city.    Any way  Its a buzz  to have  some one  fussing around the house.       She  talks to herself all  day long while  she  is in nesting  maintenance mode..    The old  house  creeks  and shudders back to life,...

Hope  little things like that come along to make you smile next week too.   A  lioness looking after her  cub..eh. . . .     well said mate...   Rainbows across your savannah..
