Sorry I missed you last night @Sophia1 ♥. Yes I was following you live for a time, but then I finally hit the sack, exhausted. Thanks for asking how I was. I am having some ups and downs. But arent we all? Overall physical progress post op is slower than I'd like, but is happening. My mental and emotional state is not good.
A great big caring hug back to you my friend. Always an honour and a pleasure to 'see' you and have the opportunity to converse.

Apologies I had started this about 2 hours ago and became lost in thought.
Hello @Emelia8
We passed each other like ships in the night as the saying goes.
I had noticed your presence though which is what counts.
Knowing that someone has made the effort to leave a message with some kind words is the part that keeps these forums going I believe.
You have been through some very serious surgery twice within a short period of time even though it might not feel that way.
Some specialists do not give time frames of recovery as realistically it is not helpful to know.
The mind does not like the answers.
The body is in a hurry.
I found the only way I could literally survive myself everyday was look back at where I had come from and think my goodness did I really go through all of that.
This principle of thought might not work for you of course.
Are you able to focus on a book and read?
Reading is my go to therapy when I cannot get outside to nature.
What can you see from your window?
Any trees? garden?
If not
Birds?
Clouds moving?
What can you hear if you open the window?
Birds?
Traffic? No give that a miss.
Are you getting where I am trying to take you?
Outside.
Yes
If not back to the book to read.
Gardening books to look at plants of what you might want when you are able to get outside.
It is easier for me to write to you from this thread @Emelia8 if you can manage coming over here to read of course.
Speak again
I will go hunting for a picture to send you.
love
Sophia1

Thank you @Sophia1 💞
And yes I can see where you are taking me, and I appreciate that.
Actually I have always been an avid reader, loving books from a young age. More recently my eyes are giving me trouble so I now have a subscription to Audible books. Its good, but takes getting used to. Though I still find it difficult to listen, without my eyes open, as if I'm actually reading.
My rental unit, though quiet and with a small outdoor courtyard and tiny garden patch, is in the midst of numerous other units and houses. I do have some tomato plants which are now producing yellow roma tomatoes though. They are self sown, and I had carefully cultivated them pre surgery. I had a dozen spindly little unidentified plants about 4 inches high. My cleaning lady watered them and kept them alive while I had my 5 weeks in hospital. When I got home they were a tangled mass of tomato bushes with loads of little egg shaped tomatoes and more flowers still happening. So I had to disentangle, drag out of the dirt and stake them. And now they are ripening daily. So that is a little bright spot in my day.
Thanks for the reminder ♥

Love that your tomatoes survived against the odds @Emelia8 You do all that stuff as a matter of course I bet coming from the bigger property. I am really mindful that you are dealing with a lot, wish life was better. Just want to you to know that I have Big Respect.
@tonys Guessing you meant the group hug.
@Sophia1I really learn a lot reading your posts. Even when things are difficult there is a serenity about the way you write that helps me. It sounds so soothing driving through the country and hills. I quite like doin that myself in short bursts, must get to the beach soon. But yeah, getting lost can be a headache. Glad your trip was worth it, tho.
I am doing alright. We had lovely social days so son is getting lots of practice. Today I did Yin Yoga, chatted with a friend, played music and was glad my son stayed out with a friend, and went on the town in his very unique non alcoholic way. Sending warm hugs your way.

@maddison hello there friend... Hope your gauge is showing over half full, How was your day mate. Gentle rain falling here and very quiet . Sent you some kites...... hope they made it to you, . . . and at least raised half a smile. Had a chance to look around at some other forums and the letters coming in. Keep forgetting to check the dates on them. Came across a few older ones of yours, trying to offer comfort, Gentle hands and heart you have Maddison. After reading all the sadness in others letters, if I ever gripe about my lot, just give me a clip over the ear please.
I wanted to ask if you don't mind, what is a community guide. Saw that next to your name a few times.
Any way my friend, You were going to tell me about your latest vision, hope you don't let me eat all the lunch box goodies on my own.
I blow a handful of sparkles and magic dust to settle on you as you sleep.. tucking you in
Good night Maddison.. tonys moon base 1
