Hey @Shaz51

Re: Living with Ourselves

Hello @TAB

Time to think about next move does that mean changing where you live?

Hope that you can settle somewhere safe.

Yes I wish @Clawde felt safe enough to come back as well.

I know that there are many people missing her.

Hello @Shaz51 @Zoe7 @Appleblossom

feeling weary today. Should go out walking but isolating again. Not sleeping well and cold does not help.

I hope that you are all managing.

Sophia

Re: Living with Ourselves

Didn't have a good night @Sophia1 but have gotten out into the garden, fresh air and sun for a while this afternoon. So tired now so I am going to do a little cleaning up, have a nice long shower and settle in for the night.

That weariness you are feeling is something I can relate to at present. It has also been very cold here in Tassie so pretty much staying in myself. Cat's corner will have to wait but I still sit next to where she is and talk to her.

Re: Living with Ourselves

Oh @Zoe7

Yes I hear what you are saying.

The cold goes through my bones and I have had a virus which they tested for respiratory and or covid. Negative thankfully.

Sitting out there with Cat and just talking to her can bring comfort.

I am not going outside today so I talk to my two in the back garden from inside.

Did I tell you that I dropped my late dog's urn (passed away nearly 20 years ago) It was a small black ceramic urn. The lid cracked open and ashes fell on the floor.

Well instead of crying; I laughed. Possibly hysteria; state of mind. I was reminded of a british comedy where a group of people travel to spread a loved one's ashes on top of a hill. Of course the urn is dropped and ashes fall out; along with an ashtray; during a drinking celebration at the hotel en route and is filled with the combination of "ashes" scraped off of the floor.

My girl always made me happy so I think that she helped me with that. The urn is still waiting for the garden to be completed then will be placed somewhere. I have no set designs. Mine will not be anywhere near as elaborate as yours. Mine is more rustic; rambling style. I will add more seedlings in the warmer weather. I will  be able to do small gardening tasks then.

So in a long winded way; enjoy your chats along the way. Cat will be more than happy just to have you with her in mind.

I also have managed to have visits from two magpies who come and wardle outside my front door. I have chatted outside to them when they appear. I also talk back to a crow in crow language. The kookaburras I talk to as well. I shout at the destructive corellas.

Take care

Sophia 💜

Re: Living with Ourselves

Hi @Sophia1  yeah a place like this isn't ideal for longer term. Especially if you're a bit worn down well or worn down by being here lol.
um yeah so I saw this as a transition stage , somewhere to be while getting a few things sorted.

Re: Living with Ourselves

I think that I understand @TAB

I hope that you can find somewhere more permanent though very soon.

Not easy I realise.

Re: Living with Ourselves

Time to get up and move.
