Re: Knitting

Hi @Daisydreamer
The key to having so many projects on the go is to save me from being bored! I also ensure to have plenty of 4mm and 4.5mm knitting needles as well as counters as they are my most commonly used needles with the 4mm being for jumpers and the 4.5mm being for beanies. i find that knitting beanies are a great stress reliever for me and is one project I usually go for when my mental health starts to deteriorate. Besides, I enjoy being very colourful and creative when i knit my beanies for charity - definitely one of a kind and filled with lots of love by me for a deserving recipient!

Well done on your beanie @BlueBay ! I'm so proud of you! I love it! As for the size, I/m sorry that it came out too big but I'm glad you've decided to donate it to charity. at least someone will love and admire your fabulous hard work. Have a look around Google for a smaller beanie pattern. You could try dropping the needle size down from a 4.5mm to a 4mm or smaller to make it a smaller size. This is just an idea as I've heard of some people using 4mm needles to make it smaller.

I look forward to seeing more of your knitted creations!

Re: Knitting

@BlueBay , is that your scarf? It looks amazing!!

Re: Knitting

Yeah it's so fluffy which I thought would be hard to knit but I'm doing it all plain.
I'll post when I finish it.
thanks @Gwynn

Re: Knitting

Hi @BlueBay

That yarn that you are making your scarf with looks familiar to me. Is that yarn called Teddy or something similar? I've seen it and purchased some in black from Lincraft to make myself a sensory scarf/ patting thing to help whenever I feel stressed and to give me something to focus omn when things get tough. I've got it in my pile of things to be worked on and I'm only knitting on thick needles in garter stitch with like 20 stitches at the most on the needles. I agree with you about it being hard to knit with! I think this type of yarn is callled a novelty yarn because of the way it is produced.

Have fun with your knitting!
